Hey all, found a new author in B&N today, a Mississippi boy whose written a memoir of growing up gay in MS. Has anyone read it, know the writer, anything? It looks good, thought I'd ask.

For the humor-impaired: There was a very good book and movie, on the subject of racism, called Mississippi Burning.
I thought I was the only one who remembered the movie...

I got the quote and I understood what you were trying to do, I just think it was in poor taste.

Good Ol' Gene Hackman.
I picked up the book at the bookstore to give it a look. While I got the impression that it was about a gay man. I couldn't find any reference to him being gay on the jacket. I just saw references to him being 'different'. I don't know it wasn't mentioned.
I think he's a journalist and writes/wrote for Vanity Fair.
