Yes life sucks and the only good news is that we all die (hopefully soon).

Therefore whoever can cheer me up the most will win a FABULOUS (and secret) prize!

LET THE CHEER COMPATION BEGIN!

(I will be commenting along the way... just FYI)

This always works for me:

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVXR0AKyxA4)

Well, I tend to disagree, but I'm blissfully happy currently and all is right with the world.

So, I don't know about cheering you up, but I would like to point out things could always be worse. You could be Lester.

Oh yeah... and if this song doesn't make you feel giddy, nothing will:

"Fuzzy" by The Incredible Moses Leroy (http://hypem.com/track/208977)

If you are reasonably healthy and aren't dealing with huge tragedies, suck it up, you can improve your circumstances.

Hilarious and cute Pixar-like animation shorts! Mostly silent, a few in French or English.

If your name isn't Rick Olney, you should be out dancing in the streets like an 80's video.

Which song though?

Love is a Battlefield
Beat It

I'd say "99 Luft Balloons" or "Take on Me"

Well, you could have spent the last three days in the hospital, camping out in the room of your seven-year-old daughter, who's fighting a nasty e. coli infection, and looked paler than a ghost when you brought her into the ER.

Modern medicine won, though, and we're home. This is good and cheers me up.

Okay, after reading that, this thread is obsolete. Glad your daughter is doing better.

Thank goodness she's ok Corrina.

Well, I was going to post this (http://cbs5.com/watercooler/watercooler_story_066191832.html), which likely would have cheered up Cam more than anyone else, but I guess there's no need for that anymore.

Hah!

Now I kinda feel bad because it does suck to be in a bad mood, and this should have been a cheerful thread. But it is cheerful in that she seems good today, too. I feel like I dodged a bullet, there.

Geez Corrina, I'm so sorry that your daughter had to go through that! :(
Thank God she's better now though.

As someone who went through the same thing not so long ago--I have no idea how a 7 year old (or an elderly person) could go through that. Seriously. There was more than one occassion when I thought I was really going to die, and a several other times I felt like I wanted to die. (And I have the benefit of being young and healthy) I can see why this kills so many people. Three of the worst days of my life. Give your daughter a hug for me and spoil her a bit for awhile!

That's great news, Corrina.

All the best.
