And when I say "ho" that means spoilers here, not calling anyone a Ho. ;-)

I am going to have to reread the comic, but so far I'm not overly thrilled with the end of the series. There are a couple of points that really invoked a 'meh' from me.
* Father Time's motivations and actions
* Uncle Sam being able to handle almost everyone single handed
* Uncle Sam swearing...just seemed out of character
* The anti-climactic ending...everyone just disappears? C'mon!
* The FF is going to work for Shade? Really? C'mon! again
Anyway, I really enjoyed the series although the artwork wasn't entirely to my taste. I'm looking forward to seeing the Mathemagicians show up in the sequel.

I was a little underwhelmed by the revelation about Father Time, too. On the one hand, it's a really interesting idea and keeps him closer to the Morrison version from Seven Soldiers, but on the other hand he comes across as just as bad as Gonzo for letting it all go down (instigating it, in fact) in the first place. Still, it's got my attention, and I can't wait to see what happens next with the Mathmagicians of the Anti-Life Equation, Gonzo, Time, and his Orphan Box.
As for the Freedom Fighters working for SHADE, or acting as SHADE, I could see that. SHADE seemed a lot more benevolent in Seven Soldiers, so it'd be nice seeing it in the hands of people who could do more good with it, and anything that means more Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters in the future is fine by me.
Definitely the best Brave New World mini-series.

i have the first 7 issues, just need to buy the last one today
Finally it illustrated that Replicant and Gonzo are two separate people, they are not on the DCU Earth, And that Father Time knows about 52.

I am pretty sure this mini was in the main Universe.

Over all I thought this was okay, but it could have been much better. I dig the cast in this book probably my favorite thing. The problems I have are I dont like getting this whole Father time had his own plans and wasnt really trying to get Uncle Sam. I think it would have been better if we had seen hints of Father times plans throughout the series rather than in the final issue where he says it was all a ploy. Hard to identify this guy with the Father Time we saw in the Bludhaven mini. I also didnt like the redesign cus he reminded too much of Phantom Stranger. Also why is it Uncle Sam was aware of Father times plans all a long. Definitely needs to be better for the next go around.

I feel the same way as you guys. The ending was really underwhelming for me as well. It would have been nice to see a hint of Father Time's plan all along, but maybe that's why the Freedom Fighters were able to escape trap after trap so easily.
The dialogue seemed a little awkward and stilted too--like there were some last minute re-writes or something. That first bit with the journalist opening was really bad--try reading it aloud--it sounds strange.
I do love the cast and the roster though. I'd probably give it a try if there were another mini or an ongoing. I have mixed feelings about the art as I'm not sure that the style fits the type and tone of the book that this is.
