I had just finished watching heroes the other day and started thinking of a great story that would bring superheroes down to a more realistic level. So, I came up with the following synopsis.
An orphan, who's back ground is unknown, has super-strength(not superman like, but 'as strong as ten men' like) and incredible powerful telekinesis. He grows normally, hiding his powers, being raised by his adopted parents in a small town. One day when he has aged in years he is out and about in the city when a building starts to fall.
He is forced to use his powers to save people. Luckily with all the confusion not many people seen this happen. but the government did see it happen. the government forces him into service in order to fight others like him. These people fight the government because they are torturing and enslaving people with powers in order to gain an upper hand in their illegal wars in the middle east. our hero finds out the truth and joins the others in there fight for justice. Thus begins the true story of our hero's life.
I also was toying with another idea...
A young man goes into a coma after a bad car crash. He finds himself outside of his body with no way to get back in. He begins a search around the afterlife to try and find his way back "home". He will meet many ghosts, spirits, historic figures, goblins, demons, monster, etc... His task will be to protect humans from these creatures while he tries to regain his own humanity.
