I think I started a thread about this awhile ago, but I can't find it so I'm asking again. I loved the Syberia series on X-Box, and I believe some of you recommended the Myst series to me because I'm looking for games that are not just "shoot 'em" up, "kung fu", or "kill the monster" games. I get really bored with fighting games really quickly. The thing I loved about Syberia I and II was it had such a good story. I love that you had to search for clues and find things and solve puzzles....without having to fight anything along the way.

Can you think of any other games besides Myst and Syberia that you'd recommend? I think I remember some of you telling me that there aren't many games like Syberia. Then tend to be few and far between. We have all three games systems now. X-Box, PS2, Nintendo Game Cube. So I could get a game for any system. Also, I was wondering about PC games because they might have a larger section of "Syberia" type games compared to the game boxes. I love a game where you have to solve a mystery and look for clues. Any suggestions on PC games?

The only thing I'm not sure about is if our computer can handle certain PC game graphics. This is the computer we bought last year:

your G-card is kind of outdated by today' standards, thats the only thing I'd change about your system

to answer you: there are not many games like Syberia, classic adventure games arent that diffused anymore. I could recommend you some action RPGs tho, the closest thing to a PAC game today

for the GC, you should absolutely pick up Tales of Symphonia. Imho it's the best game of the last generation: wonderful sory, great graphics and control system and 80+hours of dazzling gameplay. Must.

Paper Mario 2 is also a great choice: the story is hilarious and overall a pretty good game

for the PC there hasnt been much since the glorious Grim Fandango, but there are two titles I'd recmmend: Sherlock Holmes and the Secret of the Silver Earrings and Broken Sword 3

don't know about the others systems since I don't have any

Ah, Sherlock Holmes. That's something I could sink my teeth into. Unfortunately, we can't afford to upgrade the graphics card. Not yet anyway. Thankyou for the suggestions and recommendations though. Much appreciated.

What you are looking for are adventure games. Consoles doesn't have a lot of adventure games but there are a few though.

Fahrenheit/ Indigo Prophecy for X-box & PS2

For PC , i would recommend older adventure games although for some of the older adventure games , you might need dosbox to get them to run on XP.

I always love the old tex murphy adventure games

There's also the gabriel knight series (Interesting for the fact that this series reflect the eras that it was made - part 1 was the old school type graphic adventure , then part 2 was FMV when it was on the rage and part 3 was the modern "3D" mode)

SH doesn't require great specs, so I think you could really go for this one. It's a cool game, very relaxing, I played it, and the fact you love the character really adds a lot
