Sorry I'm late, I was asleep.

I had a bit of trouble coming up with a theme for "9", so I thought I would go with a homonym, the german word for no - 'nein'.

(A homonym is a word that sounds the same but means something different right?)

Anyhoo... this weeks contest requires you to add in a blank.

Nein _______.

I'm going in with "no colour"

Actually, "Nein" is only German for the exclamation "No!" The negative adjective "no" is "kein."

Well it was either this or we all do "nineties" covers and you get pages of big shoulderpads, jackets, women who should fall over, and big guns.;)

I was aware of this strange cover long before Michael Gilbert featured it in the latest issue of Alter Ego. Charles Biro apparently got caught with no cover art for an issue that had to go to press, and said "What the hell."

Eclipse put it out in 1989. Reprints comics from the early fifties.

I like Crossgen though (sometimes), and I voted for Gloryquest once for a Scion cover. Is that close enough?

Heh...that's true. I believe that's the only vote I've gotten in the cover contests; I'm still searching in the avatar contests, even though I thought that was were I was doing better.
