I was just thinking about Untold Tales of Spiderman the other day and thought it was such a great concept that I'd love to see Marvel revisit it and release a new line. Was Untold a financial failure? As for books I would want in the line would be Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Spider-man which would take place in the Silver age period. I'd also include a Champions title because I think the concept is interesting and it would be fun to see the team more fleshed out with more adventures than what was shown in the original series. I also think it would be cool if they included stories with smaller arcs and didn't rely heavily on other stories that happened during that period time.Oh well I can dream. Anyway I'm just interested on hearing thoughts about what people think about titles that tell stories from past periods of Marvel times. Also feel free if you like to idea to post what series you would include in this line and why.

IIRC, Untold Tales of Spider-Man wasn't a commercial failure. Kurt Busiek was leaving the title, and Marvel didn't want to continue the book without him onboard.

As for current Untold-style books, there's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The first LS dealt with untold tales between Avengers 1-16. The current series deals with the period between Avengers 57-60.

In general, I see no problem with Untold Tales.

UTOSM was truly a good read, and still remains a good read nowadays. I would take Devil any day of the week
