dialogue balloons are temp... but here's the set up...
MASTERS OF WAR: Several treasure hunters from uncharted parts of Earth seek the most valuable and secret artifact in the universe - the STAR STONE, said to know all man has ever known, and all he will ever know. When it turns out to be wielded by a household of seemingly invincible aristocratic serial killers, the team resort to their own cache of forbidden ancient weaponry to even the odds...

looks pretty epic.
seems loke it would fit well in an issue of Heavy Metal.

Art is pretty nice and if you keep at it, looks like it could be really really good, but that dialogue, really cheesy. Sounds like your internal dialogue when you play with your action figures or something. But I agree that it definitely has that Heavy Metal magazine feel to it. I'd like to see more.
Thanks for the kind words... and the hardassed ones...! I've got the inevitable image in my head now of Dark Helmet playing with dolls cryptically modelled on himself and his Carrie Fisher-alike enemy/unrequited love. Perhaps I was feeling too much of the power of the Schwartz when I was writing it - LOL.
Maybe with the next post, there'll be some real Dostyevsky / Shakespearean angst to keep the frivolity in check... hope you check in again soon!

awesome page man! GREAT Art and coloring! All round great job, I would suggest using a more comic'y font? That looks very Arial?
Thanks for the kind words, Phreak! I'm gonna be altering the dialogue baloons and fonts in a while, they're pretty much place holders till I've finished the main art for a first issue. More to come real soon...
Here's a closer look at designs for the female character - Kara Flynn, that robot she's battling - the Obliterator, and Major Thrett...!

Here's a concept shot of some vehicles that may be used in the Masters of War's upcoming 'Black Harvest' war...

And here's a concept sketch of a member of spacefaring rock group and saviours of the universe, Jamm Star 3x, commished by Isys1002 Entertainment...

Another Masters Of War concept pic now: The Necrogaunts, or 'Zoms' as they're often referred to (by me). At the right moment, the masks of these undead footsoldiers' slam open to reveal a hovering, irresistably hypnotic orb that forces their victims to step into nightspace, where they renounce all they hold dear in their desperation to escape 'the worst place in the universe'. No prizes what happens to them next - yep - they're 'conscripted' as more Zoms!

My concept sketch for another member of Jamm Star 3x, the bassist with vast secret powers, Athya!

Another concept painting from Masters of War, the nightspace-dwelling assassin, the Gurrencor!

Here's an early image of Master's of War's Major Thrett, and the war droid Obliterator - fighting on the same side (an unlikely situation now!)

Here's a concept shot of the zom gestation lair, lying between our world and nightspace, and serving as a bridge for the creatures to arrive here to devastate the Earth!

he art and layouts are superb. Incredibly skilfully rendered and bloated with imagination. Totally professional and full of style.
But the dialogue is not working. You change direction within one bubble and I'd try avoiding that. Have each bubble deal with one thing and aimed at one person. And think why is the character saying this now? Less is more sometimes. Build your characters over time. I love the swearing and blasphemy. And the way it begins in the thick of the action.
You can fix the dialogue if you want too.

Also all your other drawings of characters etc are just fabulous.
Thanks Kara - I love trying to come up with cool-looking characters, always glad when someone appreciates my efforts! The dialogue is something that I aim to develop (as in, improve) after I've finished art for a first issue of a new comic for Chimera Studios (something I can reveal pretty soon too, hopefully!)...
The soup of the day: Starcyde...

Here's a concept pic of Lijia, Masters of War's queen peddler of the ultimate high in the universe - edible gold. Naturally, she doesn't touch the stuff herself.

Here's a design for a portal to you-know-where, which I call the Door of Dementia

Furthermore, the word baloons and text were both kinda small. Makes it slightly annoying to read, at least to me.

Noted, Ghosty. Though glasses may also rectify that particular problem?
Here's an early rough color scheme for the character 'Major Thrett'..

...And here he is in one of several upcoming promo posters for the 'Masters of War' comic.

Capo,
Your art is mind-blowing...
The only thing I'd like to see is a better font, font tracking, and word-balloon shape on your characters' dialogue...
