Oh dear God. Not another event. At the least, it doesn't look half as long or has half as many issues as Civil War did.

And it won't mess with my comics. Thank goodness.

Unless they add more issues later. >_>

Hey guys what tie-ins are you going to buy?

Here's my personal list:
World War Hulk (Hulk fanboy so I'd definetly get this)
Incredible Hulk (Again I'm a fanboy and this is on my pull list so gonna get it and it's the biggest player anyway)
Gamma Corps (Basically Hulkbusters so it's fun)
Invincible Iron Man (like to see him shit in his pants knowing hulks on the planet)
X-Men WWH (only cause he's fighting mutants and a chance of seeing Hulk fight sabertooth wolvies rival)
Avenger's Intiative 4 (was planning on getting the whole thing anyway but since this is part of it)

And that's pretty much it, and possibly Young Avengers and Ghost Rider only if it's a team effort fight against Hulk. Other wise no. Don't see the point of Front line or Hero's for Hire though. Hero's for hire CW tie-ins was bad as it is so I see no difference if it got the tie-in treatment for Hulk event. And why in god's name is the point of Front line? Is it really necessary to see reporter's point of view on WWH? It can't get any simpler than Hulk smashing.

What tie-in's you guys getting?

I find it strange that Fantastic Four(new lineup),Spiderman, Shehulk, New and Mighty avengers, and the Inhumnas don't have a tie-in at all. Or the Punisher Cable/Deadpool which is a slide for these two but I'm sure you could work it in some how

Thats the lsat thing we need right now. Civil War's tie ins wont even be done by the time this starts, and dont forget the Initiative storyline starts along side this (which i believe is all one big mistake by marvel)
but for them to put spider-man in the middle of this too would be just bad on all parts. The hulk "problem" is mainly Iron Man, Prof X, Reed Richards, Doc Strange and Blackbolts problems (the 2 latter could have stopped it but didnt.) I dont see why the heck Ghost Rider needs to be involved, or why they have to make up all these new "frontline" titles and these gammabusters or whatever it is. Its just one big mistake. Marvel to me is like the WWE. They either drag something too long or they finish one storyline set the tone for the next and then quickly kill the previous storyline.

I agree with you totally with the tie-in extravaganza but I think FF would be there only b/c Ben and Johnny would want to protect Reed and Sue. The Inhumnas and shehulk are obvious. As for the Mighty avengers seeing how Ironman is a member of that team You'd think they would come to help and the same thing goes for New Avengers with Dr. Strange. Not to say that all of these people won't make an appearance I'm sure they will in the WWH issues, but it was just a shock to not see some of those titles mixed in there.

Not sure what ant-man is doing in this event. I guess they were upset that they didn't get him a one shot in the War as to increase his sales like every single title that was involved as tie-ins. From what I hear the series isnt doing too great, but will have at least 12 issues so maye they threw him in for sales boost?

Ummmm..... nice try Marvel.... Add up all the Initiative Titles and World War Hulk.... the number together almost equals to the amount Civil War produced....

Meh.... I am a sucker for Crossovers...... always have....

same here but most of the titles in these two events I usually pick up anyway so it'll just be a few new ones for me

I'll predict right now that Ghost Rider will have zip to do with the Hulk main story. It would be interesting though to see what happens if the Hulk gets hit with a penance stare. I'm kind of surprised that Black Panther and the Fantastic Four dont have tie in issues.

The Ghost Rider, H4H, and Ant-Man tie-ins are clearly to boost the sales of these books.

I don't mind them, as I haven't had major problems with Kirkman or Way's runs. And I'd like to see what someone as off-beat as Zeb Wells will do with the idea.

Interesting to see Jeph Loeb and Finch working on YA, even if its just a one shot. I like Heinberg's one, but not if it means waiting years for those characters to be fully entrenched into Marvel lore. Loeb and Finch don't seem like a bad reaplacement team (if it ever comes to that).

I really like the way Marvel is developing the Frontline concept.

I may be wrong, but I believe Jeph Loeb shares a studio with Geoff Johns and Allen Heinberg. So it sort of makes sense that Marvel would tap Loeb to write the Young Avengers one-shot.

Ghost Rider... I figure that has more to do with Way writing the Prelude to Planet Hulk story.

It's only 1/4 the number of Civil War comics and tie-ins.

I think that I am only going to pick up, World War Hulk, Incredible Hulk, and maybe the frontline. I will probably end up getting others but my goal is to just get those.

My educated guess is that since Ant-Man will be working with Damage Control (as of issue #8), the same group behind Nitros power boost, D.C. will be telling Ant-Man to try to anger Hulk as much as possible so there will be more destruction during his rampage so D.C. can make a boat load of money off of Hulk.

hmmm, good guess but wouldn't that sort of be bad for Damage Control's reputation? remember that they immediately fired that crooked exec who was behind Nitro's power boost. original management is supposed to be back in charge. and an early solicit makes it sound like Ant-Man answers one of their ads looking for a super-powered individual to sift through rubble (maybe caused by the Hulk) for survivors. given the current Ant-Man's personality, i could imagine him doing what you suggest (aggravating the Hulk), on his own. i just don't see it as something Damage Control would sign off on.

Oh I must have missed the part where they fired him, I've only read about them in the Wolverine CW issues and it made it seem like the whole company was corrupt and making money off of the Nitro thing. Yah I'm sure they use him to look through the debri of Hulks rampage or something like that.

yeah, i didn't even know about it until i started researching Damage Control. apparently they didn't just fire him (Walter Declun) but let Wolverine kill the bastich.

I'm not so sure that'll be the case with H4H - four issues spread over practically the whole timespan of the event suggests that it could be of substantial value to a WWH reader. I agree with the likelihood of the other two being of limited relevance, but I keep hearing good things about Ant-Man, so this will be a handy excuse to try it out.

The reason I think Ghost rider is getting a tie-in issue is due to his relationship with the Champions and how they are predicted (from Giant Size Hulk #1: http://www.leaderslair.com/noexcuses/giantsizehulk01.html ) to help the Hulk upon his return to Earth. :D
