Trickster... and someone else. Can't tell.
So... Ray's comin' back, but Gail already let us in on that, just not how- only that The All-New Atom would tie into it and that Ryan would play a part in Countdown. Jimmy is going to be a big part of the event, as Dini's said before. And Darkseid's coming back. I really can't, nor do I want to comment on whoever's "seducing" Mary Marvel, but odds are Winick's involved somehow, so odds are it's gonna' suck balls.

Do you guys think that Atom will actually last long enough to tie-in? The sales have been dropping pretty quickly.

Worse titles have sustained longer runs.
Didio stopped the questions to note that they've had a change of heart on something - and turned it over to Wayne, who announced that DC will continue to publish Manhunter. Didio added that there will be more Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters as well.
Kick. Ass.
Going back to talk about spin-offs from 52, Jann Jones announced a new project: Captain Carrot and the Final Ark, a three-issue limited series. "It's a very important year for Captain Carrot," Jones said. The project will be written by Bill Morrison and drawn by Scott Shaw! The villain of the story will be Ra's al-Pica.
Not quite as kick ass, but still quite awesome. And blam! Scott Shaw mother !@#$ers!

As of December 2006, it had 22,000 copies sold, and was dropping by 10% each issue since issue 2. Not that it can't be saved, but it's unlikely to continue if something doesn't happen soon.

Firestorm fell just as steady and it's lasted as long as it did without any critical acclaim or editorial boosters like tie-ins to big weekly anthology series. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about The Atom.

We'll see. Firestorm's not long for this world either, imo. It's too bad, because these are the type of titles that people should be reading.

Moon face, purple and black costume...doesn't take Dibney to figure it out. ;)
Somebody break the news to Joe gently, this could be the one that takes him out.

If Winick is involved, then the seducer will probably be a woman.

Firestorm has already been cancelled. McDuffie's writing Jason's "swan song" that'll tie into the New Gods, somehow. Still, Gail's Atom has been spotlighted by Entertainment Weekly, was given fuel by Grant Morrison, and was interesting enough for Paul Dini to tie it into DC's next big weekly series.

I'm out of Gingold juice, !@#$ face! And yeah, someone just tipped me off in another thread. We haven't seen much of Jean since... all that stupid !@#$ happened, so I wasn't making the connection. Eh, we'll just have to see where it goes.

At the DC panel they had a question and answer session. There was this itneresting question from.. The Question.
" Fan dressed as Question: Why did you kill me? Giffen: "You told us to."""
from http://www.newsarama.com/NYCC/2007/DC/DCNation.html
Hmmm.. interesting. I'm hoping this means he faked it, but you never know. (Isn't that always the way with that guy?)
Also, I want to see photos of this guy's costume.
edit: Thanks to whatever mod moved this from its own thread. I caught this thread after and was looking for it to ask for this.

Trickster... and someone else. Can't tell.
It's the Pied Piper. Trickster and Piper were both supposed to have big roles in Countdown, but that looks like the gloves (the lame "Yo yo yo"s give it away) that the second Trickster wears, not the James Jesse version.

Like others have said, that's the Jean Loring Eclipso in the picture with Mary Marvel. Besides the arm, Mary also has half her face covered in shadow. For these posters, I think they should've stuck with the same words they have on the DC Nation pins. There's one that says "WWMMD?" and stands for "What would Mary Marvel do?".
