anybody seen the trailer for Lasseter's new movie? think it will be another Cars-type success? The dinosaur, with his line about his head being too big, cracks me up.
saw this last night at a sneak preview. pretty damn good. the 3-D experience was awesome.

I'm not much for animated family movies, but I find the dinosaur in the commercials hilarious because he does the Shawn Merriman "Lights Out!" dance. (Probably without the benefit of steroids.)

Anyone who has seen more than 3 time travel stories will figure this one out early.
Sigh, it is a 6 hour round trip for any of the digitial 3-d theaters...anyone think it would be an upgrade?

My girlfriend and I saw this today in 3-D, and it is a WONDERFUL movie. It's wonderfully wacky (yes, including the dinosaur), yet it delivers a strong message about family and about "keep moving forward." It also has a nice Danny Elfman score. Kudos to the filmmakers for not making it merely a showcase for 3-D; it enhances the movie, but does not distract the rather intricate story. And the preceding classic Donald Duck cartoon (also shown in 3-D) is icing on the cake. A wonderful experience, highly recommended.

Is it the same short shown in primitive 2d theaters? We got a Mickey/Donald/Goofy flick in which they build a boat (I don't know the title because the first two minutes were not on the screen.).

No, it's not. I haven't seen the 2D version of the film, but apparently the 2D theaters are showing the cartoon BOAT BUILDERS (I think that's the name of it), while the 3D theaters are showing the 1953 Donald Duck cartoon WORKING FOR PEANUTS, which also stars Chip and Dale and was originally filmed in 3D.

The Boat Builders short was kinda a short film presented before the movie started. Also, at first I didn't want to see Meet the Robinsons, but I decided "Ok,ok," when me and my friend Brieanna went, and it was better than I expected. There's good connections, a good storyline, a great message hidden, and it was so good. Funny thing is, we saw it back-to-back, before going to see TMNT. The dinosaur was also cute and funny, and he turned out to be a good guy after all, he was just "controlled" by Doris or whatever that robotic devise was.
