Wow, it's getting ugly out there. From DC's newsletter:
CONTENT CHANGE FOR SUPERMAN #659
SUPERMAN #659 (OCT060167) arrived in stores today with the story that was originally scheduled to appear in issue #660, written by Kurt Busiek & Fabian Nicieza, with art by Carlos Pacheco, Peter Vale and Jesus Merino and a cover by Al Barrionuevo.
But, hey, WONDER WOMAN #4 is out today!

I don't recall his name being on the cover when I glanced at the issue tonight.

Oh, crap. If that's the story, then I'm ticked. I was going to pick that one up if I ever saw it on the shelves.

Just a note, you know we love you, no big deal, but...
I'm declaring a moratorium on the phrase "Screwed the pooch." or maybe I just need to spread out my Augie exposure. After hearing the phrase here, in the regular podcast, and in the previews podcast, I just got burned out. :D
Unless you're planing on making that your official catch phrase, kind of like "Pick of the Week" or "Sub or Flub". Every good podcaster has to have thier own catch phrase. You can put it on a t-shirt.

Don't read my American Idol writeups. You'll come to hate "crash and burn," too.
Nah, it's just the catch phrase to associate with DC these days. I just have way too many outlets to vent myself in. I need to keep track of what I say and where.

I thought you were referring to Krypto, since he got hosed out of what was to be his showcase issue.
Hopefully, it'll be rescheduled before too much time has gone by...

Glad you liked it. Fabian's solo-writing two issues of ACTION COMICS and an arc for either JLA CLASSIFIED or JSA CLASSIFIED (I forget which), so you'll get to see him strut his DC mojo soon.

Guess it's a good thing I avoid all things American Idol. :D It is an apt phrase for DC though. That fourth time hearing it yesterday just made me laugh.

Wow. That's Creative Synchronicity. I forgot it was the Krypto issue when I wrote that to begin with. Poor Krypto.
In other news now:
After selling out at DC Comics, ACTION COMICS #845 is being sent back to press for a second printing. This is the second issue by the creative team of writers Geoff Johns & Richard Donner and artist Adam Kubert.
ACTION COMICS #845 Second Printing (JAN078074) features a recolored version of the original cover by Adam Kubert, and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 14.
The jokes write themselves, so I'll step to one side on this one for now.

I must be missing something. Where's the joke in that?

"ACTION COMICS: The book that can go to second printings. We just have problems getting the first printings out."
It's good to go to second printings so that potential new readers can jump on the bandwagon after hearing initial good things about it. This way they can be caught up in time for the next issue which ships -- well, er, eventually. Just sit through a fill-in creative team for a while first. The story should pick up seamlessly after that. It'll all make sense eventually.
WONDER WOMAN still makes my head explode.

Gotcha - I think I'd forgotten what this thread was originally about by the time I reached that
