Where do I go from here?

I intend to write it, but not draw it, however, I can still draw character art and fully intend to. How would I go about pitching this to a company? Who should I go for first? How much should I have written, or would it be best to pitch an outline and some character art instead? Should I find a penciller first? Would it be best to make some issues of my own, even I don't think I'm able to keep sequential, proportionate art going issue after issue, and will need a penciller?

I think this could be a useful topic. There's a lot of "How to break into comics" kind of threads around, but I don't think they're quite specific enough to having an actual comic in specific you want to do and not a few ideas you want to throw around.

You can pitch a story to a company, but good luck with that. So really yeah you need an artist to at least come up with a dozen pages for your pitch, possibly less, more likely an entire first issue.

I'm an artist always looking for commissions, I work cheap (not free!), very negotiable with pay. Check www.renderwrx.net for samples of my work. If you are interested let me know.
