Fred Gwen was the guest star. One scene had 100 batman Superman comic books on a table [the platoons library] from 1953 and 1954. 10 cent each total cost ten bucks back then. Value today? 20 25 grand? Some prop man must have brought them home to his kids! And if he is still alive, kicking himself in the ASS!:evilsmile

I love Phil Silvers and Bilko. I dont remember that at all but it's been years since I've seen the show and I don't think I've seen every episode. I'd love to see a screenshot :) Can you describe any of the covers?

Bilko was trying to get Gwen [aka the stomach] who was the eating champion of the pasific during WW2, so the platoon could win a bet! Rented the dvd and other old tv shows thry netflix!
