.....a risky buy, since I remember little about the original Stormwatch, not sure what this series is even about, and the whole WorldStorm thing hasn't gone along swimmingly for everyone.
But Christos Gage hasn't let me down yet, so I'm expecting it to be good! :)

It's easily my favorite of the Wildstorm reboots (along with Azzarello's Deathblow). Gage's Stormwatch, so far, is of the quality of Ellis' revamp and Micah Ian Wright's Team Achilles, not the mediocrity of the original SW stories in the 90s. And I love Doug Mahnke's art, too. Hope you enjoy the issues you picked up. I thought they were pretty new reader friendly, too, in that you didn't have to know a lot about the previous runs of SW to understand the story.

I started collecting these back when they'd started under the Image comics banner. I've enjoyed most of the comics started by a few of the artists that started Image (Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, Todd McFarlane).
In my opinion, anything Jim Lee touches is golden (i.e. the first 8 issues of Stormwatch). After issue 10, I lost interest and only picked up issues with exeptional artwork.

As a new reader I agree completely. I've never read any issues of SW before. 4 issues in and we know alot about the characters already such is the strength of the characterisations.
