CBRdraws is simple, we pick a character from comics, games, cartoons, whatever, and then people post their own drawings of that character.

It never closes, so its not like you have to do a drawing by the end of the week, but if you want a challenge each week to draw something you didn't expect to, it might be a good exercise.

No level of skill required, this is just for fun. It can be a splash page or part of a story. It can be pencils, inks, colors, paint, photography... really anything goes.

This week its Man-Thing!
thanks Rex

Breathtaking work Clay!

Reminds me somewhat of the Salvador Larocca version from Heroes Reborn.

I like the inking style. That'd look pretty cool watercoloured, too.

Thanks!

I'm tempted to give it go with the watercolors, but I never have a lot of luck with that. Maybe I'll make a copy of it and try on that sometime this weekend.

Since I recently posted one, let me recycle it. (It's the ecological thing to do).

Nice job! You know, Man-Thing is one of those characters that can change a great deal, depending upon the style and design choices of the artist. You nitice it in the pro's work too. Sometimes he has a large hump, sometimes a small one. Sometimes longer, segmented face tendrils, sometimes shorter ones. Sometimes he has plants, moss, and large chunks of wood on him, sometimes he's mostly mud with some veiny roots. That's why he's one of the more interesting characters to draw, you can really "make him your own" in a way.
