any fan of this manga? It may not have the best storyline ever, but the action is top notch. Plus, I find Hara's style absolutely great considering the number of pages a mangaka has to draw every week

I have Streamline's release of the anime movie, some of Manga's DVD's, as well as one of VIZ's trades...... really good, and very violent stuff. Hilarious in some ways, dramatic in others, it's a great piece of 80's fun. I hope someone can release the license again [Raijin did some colour remix volumes, thenclosed shop :(]. Though ADV did release the OVA series, and I imagine someone'll license the new movies and OVA's being released in Japan at the moment.

Yea. It ends on a pretty depressing note though. VERY mature stuff.........

I really really dig the manga and anime and it was one of the first ones I reviewed on Calling Manga Island:

I even got to do some screaming and death sounds on the new OVA a couple of years ago. Bit part, but it made me feel like I had a hand in the history. Ca-razy.
I'm really excited by all the new movies coming out. The production quality is top knotch. I should dig up the links to the trailers if you haven't seen them. Awesome stuff.
BTW, when I did my review a cool Hokuto No Ken group contacted me and I joined up on the mailing list. I need to dig up the link if anyone is interested.

sure dude, why not? I'm still a huge Kenshiro fan!

and the new OAVs look terrific, really. Never really liked how the Manga ended, so giving Ken a true sequel could really be the real deal
