So, I am a multitasker.

I, on any given night, watch TV, keep 2 forums open, my email, a go board, sometimes a go problem program, a story I'm writing, and if I'm particularly bad at concentrating that night, the PSP. Oh, and I'm at work.

So, how much do you multitask? Have you ever had a coworker inform you that if you didn't use the computer, and stop watching tv/playing PSP he'll break your fingers so that you can only do one thing at once?

On a typical night, I'm posting here, at the CoH board, playing CoH, watching TV, and writing (not really writing-writing, but jotting down my breaking dam of random ideas, though I need to really write-write soon, so I have to buckle down).

Right now I'm posting here, writing a comic script, reading a comic, and chatting with folks about the unscrewed auction.

Typical night for me: chatting on yahoo, logged into 3 different forums, e-mail running, watching tv, taking care of animals, doing actual WORK, talking on the phone, keelhauling ninjas and kicking Lester in the head...

Yeah, I'm a multi-tasker. :D

My usual is:

chatting on msn
logged into 2 forums
checking my online comics and torrents
drawing in a variety of notepads
paying with my DS and mobile
watching tv and listening to music

without ever actually getting any work done. :D

I'm currently posting on 2 forums while working. Not so much multitasking as "being lazy".

When working, I leave the tv on to listen to to keep my mind busy, and I chat with my housemates. (If I am working while others are sleeping, I blast music on my headphones and fugue out.) Since I like to get work done as soon as possible, I don't do anything else unless I take an actual break to rest my eyes or stretch out. If I am in an art fugue during the day, I don't respond to being spoken to and I prefer to be left alone.

While not working, I usually have a few forums open in firefox, a few chat windows open in aim, maybe an rp session going (less now that I work), a news site open to browse, the tv on, etc. I absolutely do not like to just do one thing in my liesure time, life is too short.

I even have problems watching movies on dvd on my laptop with others, because I don't like not being able to pause and do something else.

I have multiple personalities so at any given moment I am doing serveral different things-half of them I'm not even aware of!

Actually the ability to multitask is essential to being a nurse. Then when I'm at home, I'm too impatient to focus on one thing at a time.
