This project has to be one of the best dc cosmic titles I have ever read. In this issue Captain Comet discovers a bomb on the asteroid he always teleports to. Cool action with him taking on assassin bugs. I even give props to Chief Max in this book. The religious group takes over hardcore station and the Weird is trying to decided where he stands in the battle. The art on this book is breath taking. I just dont know why this title doesn't have any buzz about it.

I've enjoyed every issue of this series. Going to be a shame when it's done.

Well, with the major exception of 52, overall the OYL/post Inf Crisis stuff hasn't really taken off at all.

Plus it's a Captain Comet comic.

But regardless, whatever its sales are must be far better today than doing a Captain Comet miniseries a few years ago.

I agree, this is by far the best thing DC has going for it right now, and beyond that it might actually be my favorite series of all at the moment. Just phenomenal stuff all around.

Just wondering. Are there any other odd ball characters from DC's past (1940s through 1950s) who DC hasn't revived in some for? And just for the record, I'm loving this book (though I'd be interested to know what Starlin was planning on doing with Adam Strange, who was originally going to be the star of the book).

Mark Merlin. There's a character that could use a "revival."

And I've been loving this series. Incredible art, fun story, fresh view on Captain Comet and Hardcore Station, and The Weird. It's a fun sci-fi story with a lot of potential, and I'd friggin' love it if this and Tales of the Unexpected were turned into ongoing anthologies to showcase DC's great horror/mystery and space opera heroes.

another great issue, but the art in this one kinda disappointed at first but it got better as it went along ether that or i just got used to it, and comets script dident seem as strong as usual but still a great read, the weird was written beautifully again, this story just keeps getting better and better.

While I enjoy seeing Ron Lim's art, I've noticed that Shane Davis seems to be off the series now (Lim is credited for #7 and 8 too).

I recall Jim Starlin and DC editors having high praises for Davis' work here.....so has he been moved to a higher profile project to explain his absence from the series (sans covers) now?
