Does anyone know of a website that has month-by-month lists of every Marvel comic published between January 1980 and December 1989? I've searched online and I can't find anything.

Or is this something I'm gonna have to spend hours researching and constructing on my own? :(

Thanks. :)

Short answer, no.

Long answer, there are some resources out there that can get you part of the way to where you want to go. Sam Ruby (http://samruby.com/title.htm) is great for Spider-Man titles, for instance. All the issue listings have the publication date as well as a list of the other Spider-Man comics that came out that month.

Thanks, Expletive Deleted. That's pretty much what I figured - that I'm gonna have to construct this list from several sources - but I was hoping that I was missing something, that maybe there was a website I was overlooking. :(

I've started researching, and I'll continue to do so in my spare time. When I get the 1980s Marvel list finished - which'll take a while, I'm figuring - I'll post it here, so that it can be found for anyone who's interested.

Anyway, back to work. :b

There's a couple of sites that I use that might help you out a little, if you don't use them already. The best I think is this one http://www.comicspriceguide.com/.

You can search by the publisher and view every title published by marvel from A-Z and the years of publication are listed right there by the title. You can then even view each title, but not all of them have the details listed to show you which months they were published.

Here's the link to the Marvel category already showing titles starting with #'s first http://www.comicspriceguide.com/p-titles.asp?letter=Numbers&pub=1

There's another site that is attempting to archive large scans of all covers to all comics with details and publishing info, but its limited to what is submitted by the community. Granted they've covered a lot, and I've found it handy at looking at the covers in detail to just about anything you want. You just have to know what your searching for since its not initially a chronological listing, http://www.comics.org/index.lasso.

Hope that helps.

I'm aware of the wonderful comics.org (and I've been using it to help with the list) - but I wasn't aware of comicspriceguide.com! That alphabetical list of Marvel titles, with dates of publication, will help greatly. Thanks, much appreciated. :)
