I've always loved mystic and mysterious type characters and the good Doctor has always appealed to me in that way but I never really got a chance to read any of the titles he appeared in. However, I've been getting the recent The Other (which is amazing BTW) as well as reading about the character titles such as Illuminati.
I'll be getting the Essential Doctor Strange books on my next trip to the comic store, but I was wondering if any Strange fans here could suggest any other books that would be worth getting.
Thanks for your help in advance!:D

Definite must read and a favorite of mine is the graphic novel, triumph and torment. Its out of print but easily found on ebay or used on amazon.

Get the Dr. Strange tpb that collects all the Frank Brunner issues, A Separate Reality. The artwork is amazing, and the stories are great, too.

Another fairly recent release was Doctor Strange vs. Dracula:The Montessi Formula which reprinted the two original meetings of the two from Doctor Strange's monthly book from the 70's and 80's.The first story is a two parter crossover between Doc's title and Tomb of Dracula. The second story is about 5 parts long and all happend in Doc's title.

Thanks guys. Sorry for the late reply, I lost the post. Hee.
I was at my library the other day and saw thay had the TP of the Strange: Beginnings And Endings Marvel Knights series. I've read three chapters thus far and havenl been impresed. JMS just dosne't seem to "get' the character (where as Brian K. Vaughan does) he's written so diffirently asto how Stan wrote him.
Oh, yeah, and that Vaughan is The Oath, not The Other. Sorry for that.
Whether you gather the individual comics (They're up to #4 now I think, and soon to be at #5) or want to wait till the Trade comes out, I have nothing but praise for "Doctor Strange: The Oath" so far.

Yeah, I've been getting that series since issue #1. It is brilliant!
