How many trades have been released for his run on Cap, what are their titles and should I give this book a try? I do like Brubaker's run on DAREDEVIL.

The last one (Civil War) also collects Iron Man #13 & 14 by the Knaufs and the Cap/ IM one-shot by Cristos Gage.

Brubaker's Cap has become one of the strongest titles Marvel is publishing. I enjoy it very much.

Actually, I think there's a Cap Civil War collection that is going to be Cap 22-24, and the Winter Soldier special. Here's the solicit, for April:

CIVIL WAR: CAPTAIN AMERICA TPB
Written by ED BRUBAKER
Penciled by MIKE PERKINS & LEE WEEKS
Cover by STEVE EPTING
Captain America has fallen into a clash with his government and his friends, and the people close to him are paying the price. The life of Cap's girlfriend, Agent 13, is torn apart as her superiors use her divided loyalties against her. Elsewhere, a new villain emerges; the Red Skull begins to make himself known; and the Winter Soldier again comes face-to-face with Cap. But which side will he choose? Plus: James Buchanan Barnes, Captain America’s one-time partner Bucky, faces his first Christmas of the 21st century – and the truth of the terrible things he was forced to do as the Winter Soldier. And with Cap caught in a conflict he can neither take a side of – or understand – what moves can he make to try to redeem himself?! Collecting CAPTAIN AMERICA #22-24 and the WINTER SOLDIER: WINTER KILLS one-shot.

I'll never understand why they numbered the series like they have (1 & 2, 1 &2, instead of 1, 2, 3, 4), but it is absolutely worth reading.

I don't know. I think Vol. 7 or so becomes harder and harder to sell to new readers, is probably the reason.

I can believe that. If I see a book labelled Volume 2, I look for Volume 1 first.

I will say that the schedule for these trades is confusing as hell. I really wish they'd ship the hardcover and softcover at the same time...
