Best Annihilation Fight?

Throughout the whole Annihilation event, there have been a very cool amount of cosmic battles as well as just copious amounts of asskickery. Which fights were your favorite?

Personally it's a tie between Silver Surfer (*HOG) vs Ravenous and Ronan vs Gamora for me but I'll have to think it over some.

I also voted for Surfer vs. Ravenous. I mean, Surfer destroyed a whole frickin' planet during that one, not to mention sending Ravenous across the galaxy. Of course, now that I think about it, it was a little one-sided. I managed to miss Nova and Quasar's battle with Annihilus as I missed few issues of the Nova mini, and I haven't got my hands on Annihilation #6 yet, so my opinion may change when I get those. Also, Drax kicked some major ass as well so he deserves an honorable mention at the least.

Yeah, Ravenous got his ass handed to him there. I was still surprised at just how much punishment the bastard can take which is why it was kind of odd that Ronan delivered that devastating finishing blow on him but I guess that's more of a blunt physical force vs cosmic kablooey.

The reason I loved the Ronan vs Gamora fight was because you go "Ronan vs Gamora? Ok that's gonna be a short fight considering Gamora is like the best evar!" but he puts up such a good fight with the help of the universal weapon that they stalemated in the end.

I managed to miss Nova and Quasar's battle with Annihilus as I missed few issues of the Nova mini, and I haven't got my hands on Annihilation #6 yet, so my opinion may change when I get those.
The way it played out was:

Nova #4:

Annihilus > Quasar
Annihilus w/Quantum Bands > Nova

Annihilation #6:

Annihilus w/o Quantum Bands < Nova. It seems like Annihilus learned a new trick by absorbing the Quantum Bands using his cosmic control rod but it didn't help at all with the Nova Force. Overall though, the Quantum bands hold enough power to hold Nova at bay so to me it seems like the more powerful power.

Also, Drax kicked some major ass as well so he deserves an honorable mention at the least.
Heh I was almost going to put "Drax vs EVERYONE" on the poll instead but he had alot of badass showings.

Drax vs. everyone. Who knew a guy with knives, guts and sheer bad ass could give invading, gun toting insect armies a good fight (Wolvie not withstanding)? Annihilation #2-#4 were great just seeing Drax kick butt, and I was not a big Drax fan before this. Basically Drax cutting his way through the Annihilation Wave/Centurions to get to Thanos, and delivering the death blow.

Tenebrous & Aegis & Thanos vs. Galactus & Silver Surfer. Short, but a great initial skirmish leading to round #1.

Even thought Nova and Annihilus's battle was way to short, this was the battle for me. I want a director's cut with deleted scenes. Next I liked Quasar & Nova versus Annihilus. That fight was visceral.

I forgot what happened between the Surfer and Ravenous. I guess I'll have to pull the issues out and check it out again.

Ronan laying the smackdown on Rav had the best 'Boo-Yah!' moment to it. Ronan was fighting a guy that should have been out of his league but he #$%^ed him up on sheer bad assedness. 'Guilty' was the best curb stomp line in the series :)

But I still had to vote for Nova/Phyla vs Annhi. He shoved his arm down the somnabiatch's throat and ripped out his innards. It was just so.. satisfying. Still gives me a warm, tingly feeling.

Of course the next Annihilus will have some kind of segmented mouth now that'll protect his one soft spot so they'll have to find some other way to stop him (like actually having Galactus go after him personally. That'd be quick)

All I've got to say is, "Gut Check!"

We have had planets blown up, superweapons nuked, heroes absorbed, chests exploded, armadas toasted, guts ripped out, heads smashed in, councils disintegrated, bugs burned alive, flying thong-clad drop kicks, 3+ sectors evaporated in mere minutes, heralds destroyed, and an economy-sized six pack of ass whuppin' all around!

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Annihilation lived up to its name.

I've voted Nova/PHYLIA v Annihilus because it was the battle I'd been deading ever since that cover for Annihilation 4 (then 3) turned up..you know the one with Nova's blood smeared helmet held aloft by Ravenous..its just sorta had a terrible sense of dread and foreboding, added with Andy Schmidt's references back then of possibly killing of Rich Rider at the end of the series...
So to see Rich actually killing Annihilus (okay temporarily which does slightly diminish the impact) and using physical means and not via his powers which was unexpected, was an added bonus. It was a triumph for many Nova fans. But in comparison to the shortlist, well every battlescene had its merits..It's hard to pick one out as overall Annihilation was superb in every panel of art...

Ronan smashing Ravager in the head was -ing brilliant, all though Ravager ruined it by getting up again.

Same with the Nova vs Annihilus fight.

Not a fight, per se, but Galactus letting loose with his power blast as Surfer rode it like a wave in Annilhation 6 is pretty much the most badass comic book moment I've seen in years. Nothing in the series could top that.
