Those Showcases look promising! DC has really hit a gold mine with those books.

My only complaint is that DC seems to be abandoning the more obscure books. No House of Mystery, Jonah Hex, or Haunted Tank in their summer Showcases. That is sad.

I must say, for me this is the strongest showing for Showcase to date. I just may have to pick up every blame one of them! Batgirl is the one that came out of left field for me, and I'm still not sure, but I'll probably pick it up. The others are all definites.

I've been waiting for Batman vol. 2, probably my favorite. As far as the others are concerned: The Atom, Adam Strange, Martian Manhunter, & Wonder Woman--it makes me wonder if the editor has been reading CBR!

Now, if they'd only get the second volume of Superman Family out...

Whoa. EGO and SELINA'S BIG SCORE collected in a single trade? Didn't think they'd include an original graphic novel in a trade. I've kind of soured on Cooke's writing, but I may have to pick that one up.

And colour me disappointed on the new SHOWCASE PRESENTS. Five new volumes and four-and-a-half of them are superhero books? (I'm counting ADAM STRANGE as superhero/science fiction.) I wanted to see some other genres represented.

I would have been interested in the Darwyn Cooke book, but I've already got Ego and Selina's Big Score so I'll skip that

Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E is a nice turn up for the books though. Especially at $13.

It's sad to see that their collecting Will Pfeiffer's Catwoman without finishing Brubaker's run.

Man DC needs to come out with some softcovers for GL, hell they finally are realising one for Rebirth.

I'm counting ADAM STRANGE as superhero/science fiction.

They're not the same. DC's old sci-fi books were definitely a genre of their own. And Adam Strange has no super-powers. He may be a heroic figure, but he's no more super-hero than say Tomahawk.

Man, they really are cranking out the trades! Soon I won't have to bother collect some of these books!

I'll get the Turning Points trade.

Wish DC\Marvel would release a softcover of JLA\Avengers already.
