Since 2001... man, we've been waiting for this a long time. I didn't know he was offered an ongoing at first, though. That would've been awesome, but I'll take whatever I can get when it comes to Smith's work, and hopefully he'll start doing more work with DC in the future. I wouldn't mind seeing him tackle something like Justice, but with a Golden Age setting and cast. Or Hell, Smith on anything with a classic Superman would be amazing.

I would've loved for Smith's "Shazam!" to be the basis of a Captain Marvel relaunch. Too bad that didn't happen, because now we're stuck with Judd Winick.
