I read alot of comics(The Amazing Spider-Man, The Sensational Spider-Man, Detective Comics, Batman, Ashtonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, New X-Men, X-Men, and Civil War) I kind of wanna cut back down to 5 or 6 comics to read.

I don't wanna stop reading any Batman or Spider-man. I need help to choose which one I wanna keep and I want to get into a new comic. Something that has to do with outerspace. Maybe Superman, Green Lantern, or if Captain Marvel comes out with a new title.

I'm more of a Marvel fan. So are their any suggestions?

This is really just your thing, man.

Here, this is what I do when I realize I'm going to pare my reading:

You know when you come home from the shop with a stack of comics? Which one do you grab first? Which one do you put off until later? Do any of them ever *not* get read.

I found out that I had a couple comics I'd been buying that I just had not read, at all. Invicible, recently, for example. Promethea a couple years back, for another. However, there were and still are a few books that ALWAYS go to the top of the reading pile. THOSE I keep buying because I actually smile (and poosibly drool in a Pavlovian response) when I see them on the shelves.

If it seems like a bit of a slog to MAKE yourself read something? Toss it. If you cannot WAIT to crack the pages? Keep buying.

It really is that simple.

By the way, I wouldn't trust these assholes around here with picking my comics for me. You'll end up reading some shit like American Splendor or Identity Crisis.

Loose the New X-Men and The Sensational SpiderMan, just my opinion...

I definitely recomend picking up some Superman (for obvious reasons).

But since you're a Marvel fan, pick up some issues of the Fantastic Four or - better yet - the Ultimate Fantastic Four. The story arc right now has them set in outer space. Might be right up your alley if you're interested.

1. Definitely drop Detective Comics, Sensational Spider-Man, and New X-Men.

2. Replace them with Green Lantern, and Green Lantern Corps (the books work well together).

Green Lantern, flatly put, is a priority to pick up. They're arguably DC's best two books out now (perhaps save 52), and the storylines of each are the best space epics I'm reading.

(Speaking of space epics, you may also want to pick up Mystery in Space when it comes out in trade).

I'd also think to drop one of the other X-Men titles. I hear Uncanny isn't as good as Carey's X-Men or Astonishing. On the other hand, the current Uncanny arc is about the X-Men in spaaaaaaaaaace! Maybe drop Carey's X-Men then; it has the strangest lineup of the bunch.

Civil War will end soon enough. The bulk of the tie-ins are through. Now all you have to do is the aftermath ("The Initiative" I think?)
