You know, the one that gave the Juggernaut his powers.
Ok, so it turns any who touch it into an unstoppabkle force, right?
And prolonged exposure has re-shaped Cain marko. Then he threw the thing into orbit to stop anyone else from splitting his power.
But, i seem to recall a nerdy teen rettrieving the gem and becoming unstoppabkle in some other way.
Anyone remember this? What happened with that? And where is the gem now?
Thanks,
Josh Dahl

Cain currently possess the Gem. But his New Excalibur team mates believe that he chose not to take it, and reject being Cyttorak's agent on Earth.
Cain had gone to the Cyttorak temple hoping to do a deal with Cyttorak to get his powers levels ramped back up again, which had been fading ever since Cain had reformed and stopped being a bad guy. Cyttorak revealed to Casin that he had never wanted him to be the Juggernaut - he'd wanted his step-brother. But Charles Xavier could not be manipulated that way, and so Cyttorak chose to make Cain his avatar on Earth - because Cain was one of the few people Charlie actually feared.
Read New Excalibur #'s 13-15. He's technically a good guy, still, but he's debating whether he can stay that way. He's hooked on the power Cyttorak gave him, and he was very good at being a killer.

The recent Excalibur Arc has left us Juggernaut fans on tenderhooks concerning Cain taking the power again. Can he be powerful and a Hero? Dammit where's the next issue already!!!

Until Black Panther has it, and Cain's is revealed to be a fake.

I think you're thinking of the animated series, where a little nerdy guy became Juggernaut. People did steal the power from his ruby once though, and Storm Kitty and Gambit helped stop him from dying. Skroce drew that story. Can't remember issue number.

I think the original poster was talking about this issue of West Coast Avengers:
During the time the Juggernaut had been away, the Gem of Cyttorak had crashed back to Earth and was found by a boy named Stevie. Apparently, the exposure to open space had changed the gem’s capabilities, for Stevie was not transformed into another Juggernaut, but used the ruby in unimaginable ways, from animating wax statues to sending a communication signal halfway around the continent. Learning about this, Cain wanted to reclaim the source of his powers, but it took him several attempts to finally get it. Afterwards, the gem somehow became infused to Cain’s body. Lol. How long before he has Thor's Hammer, too?

Does this all tie in with that whole Imitator Juggernaut messiness that Austen wrote?
