"...who left her burning in the street?"

This was an actual tease for the 11 O'Clock news on KNBC tonight! It
isn't bad enough that a human being was murdered, and then set afire,
and left like a bag of dung, it had to be compounded by reduction into
a glib sound-bite, between "Studio 60," and a Hallmark commercial. As
Don Henley said: "Get the widow on the set, we need dirty laundry..."

Isn't there some point where we can just be horrified, and maybe even reverent? Is it possible anymore?

You really need to watch Brass Eye (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brass_Eye).

I'm just of the option that the media just doesn't care anymore. Well, except maybe Anderson Cooper.

News programs, local or national, feed on the ignorance and sensationalism of their audience rather than educating or informing them. There's no real depth just icing spread all over the cake.

Well...........

It's more creative than the apocalypticish "Your children are going to die! Tune in at 11 for details!" or "Missiles are heading to America, millions will be destroyed, but first this!" ones, at least.....

There was one on KABC a few years ago, about 2 in the afternoon, which was:

Which Southland Mall is a target for terrorists? Tune in at 4!
