I was just reading the early numbers of adjectiveless x-men, when I came to the issues where Peters parents where murdered. Now what I don't understand(I haven't read further than nr.19 so I might have missed something) is why Peter didn't swear vengeance on the russian government?(it was government agents who killed his parents) If someone killed my parents I would try my best to make those responsible and all of their associates suffer. To quote the Hulk: "Never stop making them pay".

Probably because vengeance isn't in his character. Peter has always been the "hero" type and swearing vengeance isn't exactly in tune with that idea.

Hero type or not, I still find it unrealistic that he didn't swear vengeance. His parents got brutally murdered for god's sake.

Poitr really has lost everything, hasn't he. But no swearing vengeance is not his style. Trying to make those responsible be held accountable through the correct channels, sure. But what are the correct channels in post-soviet Russia?

What exactly could he have done?

Well, he could find out the identitites of the men who pulled the trigger, and the identities of those who ordered them to pull the trigger, and then crush them all with his metallic hands.

Vengeance is more Illyana's deal anyway...

Maybe we'll see something come of this storyline when C&C bring her back?

did he have time to wreak vengeance?

he was Illyana's only relative at that point, and had to care for her. i don't think he'll ever have happy feelings to the government, and it would've been ncie to see Hine touch on those feelings in Bloodline.
