The juxtaposition of this thread title and your nick is oddly appropriate.

Pretty much a demi-God....
I have been looking forward to this for some time, but Bruce can do so much better than placating his fans with what he thinks they want to see him do....it will be entertaining and fun for sure, but I cant help but feel some of the appeal to many people is a Hasselhoff like irony.
I really do think he is the closest thing we have to a B-movie matinee idol, in the vein of Tyrone Power ( see Make love the Bruce Campbell way where Bruce says the same thing ).
Watch his performances in Bubba Ho Tep, Running Time and The Woods and you can tell that there is a great actor who just needs the right platform to shine, I want to see him get good and rich because he deserves it, this is a guy with more natural screen charisma and an untapped reserve of talent.
Myself I would love to see him play a really meaty role, Nicholson in China Town level meaty.

Well it was Kempo Karate, which is a composite form of martial art formed by this lad from Hawaii. I met him when I was 9 years old. He signed my book, which contained pictures of Elvis posing with his black belt. Thing is - if you had the King of Rock n' Roll sign up for your nascent school of self defence....wouldn't you ramp him up quick? Maybe he was a talented fighter, but I kinda doubt it.
Look at Tom Cruise & Scientologists. He's a public face, gets them noticed and lots of ink. Anyone think he's particularly spiritual? (assuming that's what's being measured and such).
Bruce's commentary in character as Elvis on Bubba.... still rules though. I'm becoming more afraid that the proposed sequel will be like that credits announced follow-up film to Buckaroo Banzai...

A little update:
Dark Horse Comics' Mike Richardon, who ran into Shock at the Saturn Awards, tell it: "Some people maybe thought the film fell out or that there was something wrong with it... We did our shoot, put it in the can and the studio that financed it liked it so much they gave us more money to do a second shoot. We beefed it up so it could go into the theaters."
Due in theaters in October.
