I'm watching/listening to a song on YouTube that corresponds to a Tai Chi fan set I will probably start (re)studying in the spring. I'd love to find a CD of that song. But I have no idea what it is called or even where to start looking for it (googling "Tai Chi music" tends to bring up awful synth New Age music that would put me to sleep if I tried to do Tai Chi to it). It sounds to me like it might be opera or possibly a martial anthem of some kind.

For the curious, the best audio of the song I can find is here (this video is also quite good, but I have favourited better ones if anyone is curious): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ilfQCSBaEw

Does anyone have any idea what this song is called and/or where I would be able to find it on CD? (or an itunes download or something)

There's a comment on that video that someone is doing a dance to that song at their school. Have you tried messaging them?

Okay, I was going say google some of the lyrics.

But that idea seems bust. :o

I tried googling the description of the song, but came up with more icky synth Tai Chi Music.

As for asking the poster on YouTube, I think I am going to try that, because I can't really think of anything else at this point :)

I can't help you, I'm afraid, but I'm having trouble identifying a song myself and figure it's best not to start another thread.

Heard a song in HMV today and stupidly didn't ask what it was. Unfortunately the only lyrics I could make out were "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah". I think it's a newer one, and it's pretty upbeat. Had a horn section and guitar licks. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

lol that's quite a challenge. I'm gonna guess that maybe it could be "Ladyflash" by The Go! Team? It's a longshot.
It's on thier myspace. (http://www.myspace.com/thegoteam)

That's not the one, thanks for trying though! :) It did fit my description, heh.

Guess I'll never find it unless I happen to hear it somewhere again. Ah well.

There's a song by Matt & Kim called "Yeah Yeah" but I didn't hear any guitars or horns in the song. But the chorus and tempo fit your description.

Here's an mp3 of it. (http://www.freeindie.com/songs/mattandkim/MattAndKim-YeaYeah.mp3)

It's probably still not your song but at least it's fun finding all the songs that match that description :)

Are you thinking of Woo Hoo by the 5,6,7,8's it was in Kill Bill 1.
