Has anyone in any book even mentioned her disappearance?
i've never read exiles so i'm not sure how it all works.
Will she be put back the moment she was plucked out of time? or does time just move along?

She left in Excalilbur and due to illness Claremont, who I presume would have delt with her dissappearence, hasn't been able too.
It's not like Whedon cares what else happens in the rest of the X-men verse, Brubaker's team is off in space doing crap.
And Mike Carey is a comic god so...
time in Exiles is odd, I once thought it was outside of time and pace, but then it was just space, but people keep mentioning the time thing again.
Now I'm leaving this thread before spoilers arrive.

Her disapperance was mentioned once in NEX, but nowhere else. And then with CC sick, it wasn't mentioned again. As for noone else mentioning it, that's an editorial issue.
And no. The Timebroker/Bugs was lying about that aspect. Those who are chosen do get unhinged from time. But since the Exiles don't employ time travel, the characters don't get returned to a point right after they left.

If Claremont sticks with what's already been established in Exiles, time in 616 will have moved along, but Betsy will not have aged during her time with the Exiles.

Um, have you tried looking around for yourself?

Um, when have the X-men EVER worried about when a teammate takes off from the team unexpectingly?
"Hey where'd Betsy run off to? Haven't seen her in a month or two."
"Oh I'm sure shes just fine. Its not like anything bad could happen to her. Its not like shes off in space, different reality, planet, time or Argentina."
The X-men motto seems to be out of sight, out of mind. Chuckles and his crew have been up in space for a long time and we haven't heard from them either. But nobody gives a peep back home. For being a so called "family" the X-men sure are dysfunctional, no doubt about that. Also somebody dies and its like they never existed. Case in point poor Banshee. Its amazing anybody gets rescued at all really since for the most part they don't give a damn.

with that thought in mind, then Psylocke won't be returned to the 616 for some time...
too bad her debut in Exiles wasn't interesting enough to pick up though so I don't know what's gonna happen to her for a while (i do like what was happening with her spotlighting in the x-books recently though)

Two things:
1) Is that Psylocke 616 from our time or from in between Vargas killed her and Jamie resurrected her, or from the present?
2) Won't she recognize her former team mate Longshot? That is the Longshot from 616, no?
Looking forward to see which Betsy we are getting. I was looking through the old Swimsuit issues (laughing at the cod pieces) and Betsy always inspired great work.

Wolverine takes off on his own all the time.

1. Yes, it's 616 Psylocke. From the present.
2. Yes, she will recognize him. But he won't recognize her. And yes, that is the same Longshot that appeared in Uncanny X-Men back in the day. He's not the 616 one though, as there is only one Longshot and Mojo from the Mojoverse. Mojo wiped his memories though, so now he's back to being a blank slate again.

Keep in mind that we only have the extemely egotistical Mojo's word that he is unique in the multiverse, and that there ARE other Longshots - even if he started out unique, once he got to 616 he began splitting every time the 616 timeline did, as shown by the appearance of Longshots in various issues of What If. But yes, this is the Longshot was formerly resident on Earth-616.

I thought Marvel declared most of the What If? storylines to be non-canon.

Every What If story happened somewhere in the multiverse - that's the nature of the multiverse. They all "happened", they just didn't "happen" on 616. Don't forget that MC-2 originated as a What If story, and that Avengers Forever featured cameos from a number of other What Ifs.
Don't mix up "in continuity" (which usually means "in 616 continuity") with canon. Every story is canon; its more a question of where it is canon.

Well, I wouldn't say that every story is canon. For instance the issues of Rampaging Hulk were declared non-canon by Marvel. And I swear they've said the same about some if not most of the What If? storylines.

The Rampaging Hulk stories are movies in the 616 reality. However, given an infinite number of alternate realities, it's not only likely but probable, perhaps even inevitable, that there is a reality where those stories happened "for real".
And I swear they've said the same about some if not most of the What If? storylines.
If anyone at Marvel has said that, then it's because they aren't distinguishing between canon and 616 continuity. And since the premise of What If is that the 616 Watcher is looking in on what happened in other realities, that means every What If story happened somewhere out in the multiverse.
