I'm SOOOOO happy that there will be a new main character in this series. Jen was the only reason I don't read this title regularly.

I wished that the new user was of a different race, however (no, that doesn't mean skin tone, just a different race. I wanted the new WB user to be a redhead Irish girl).

Ok I havent read any new WB stuff,But ive started reading oder Tpb and comics,plus i lik the TR cross overs,but i bet there are loads of fans pissed off with Sara being drafted.
Why excatly did she.coz she got preggers?

So basically Saras gonna be "oracle" from Birds of prey,but with a baby instead of a wheelchair.

I wouldn't call her Oracle because Oracle just sits back and coordinates the team.

Sara might be pregnant, but she's still a cop and she still has loose ends that haven't been tied.

She might not own the Balance anymore, but that's not going to stop her enemies from going after her.

I read it, but I can't honestly say I'm excited. I can see how the 'blade being passed on ranks as a major event for the series, but the manner in which it was done was just... boring. It's not that I find destiny a dull concept, if handled properly in a story, but this kind of heavy-handed railroading just made it seem as though no-one cared how or why the 'blade got handed over, so long as it happened as quickly as possible.

I mean really - Gleason's question, "You want to get rid of the Witchblade. How's that work?" Indeed, very good question, it could have been fascinating finding out, had the answer not turned out to be, "Oh, just wait for it to happen on its own, without me having to do anything. This afternoon, maybe tomorrow - end of the week, tops."

If this keeps up, I can't honestly see why, next time some pseudo-demon bursts into Sara's apartment, she won't just flip it the bird and keep watching NYPD Blue reruns, content in the knowledge that Destiny will make it have a heart attack or something.

I'm hoping Danielle's tenure will prove interesting, and there'll be some actual character-driven storytelling going on - as opposed to the humans in the book just being there to allow the 'blade to get from one 'destined' disconnected event to another - but I'm not holding my breath.

First ever Witchblade I've picked up. Was interested in the passing of it and the art was pretty damn gorgeous. No fuglies ever weilded the Blade?
