bring back leigon

i got into x-men in the late 80's but last decade or so i have dropped out
reason were numerous,
so many plotlines were all about the summers family
also the x-books and mutants seemed to be increasing so much that most characters were simply guest stars
there have been some brilliant stories ( aoa will always be a favourite)
i'm having trouble putting into words but i just felt that overall the general quality of teh x books has been reduced in favout of quantity
the decimation looked promising but has gone downhill again
i'll add more examples as i remember.

Wolverine would disagree with you.

Which is why Decimation was a good....idea. In theory.

I don't know about brilliant. Many good stories like Onslaught, Wolverine #75, X'Cutioner's Song, X-Men #1-3, Scott & Jean's wedding, Schism, True Friends, etc.
but i just felt that overall the general quality of teh x books has been reduced in favout of quantity
I agree with that.

I don't think Marvel has fully used the potential of Decimation. In dealing with the ramifications of what happened. So many things could have been done with the trauma of Decimation and yet we've not seen a lot of that story potential.

I actually think the X-Men line as a whole is in great shape. Brubaker and Carey have made the both core titles readable for the first time in a number of years. Astonishing X-Men, despite being hurt by delays and somewhat sluggish pacing of the story is still decent at the very least.
X-Factor is one of the best books on the market.
Cable and Deadpool is usually pretty solid entertainment each month
New X-Men is finally moving forward after all the deaths and now seems to be taking some form.
Sure there are some very week points, Wolverine's two books are both pretty sluggish, Exiles and Excalibur are average at best, Ultimate X-Men has taken a sharp turn towards bad since Kirkman took over.

I'm not exactly sure what the thread is saying.
BUUUT if it is what I think it is, I think the X-Universe has a lot of issues in itself (excessive titles, deaths, and frickin' Decimation), but I am THOROUGHLY enjoying X-Factor and X-Men so much...well, what more can I ask? ;)
Oh yeah, that's right...Carey can write New and Risque can come back!
