Holy sh**. When I heard about this, I could hardly believe it, and I wanted to piss my pants. Apparently, Tartakovsky wanted to make a live-action Samurai Jack movie, but Hollywood wouldn't let him have a lot of creative control. So instead, he's going to do an animated movie. Here's the source. (http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1541895/story.jhtml)
I'm still a bit skeptical since the article is from September of last year and it doesn't tell when its going to come out, but if it does come out, I will do the happy dance butt-naked for 3 days straight.

I can't get the link to work but i'd need to see something a lot more substantial before i got my hopes up anyway. The impression I've had is that property is pretty much dead from a public interest point of view. I don't think an episode's aired anywhere in a few years and it took Cartoon Network forever to air the last set of episodes. You know things are grim when new episodes wouldn't get shown because its going to rate lower than the thousandth repeat of whatever usual crap they show on Cartoon Network. Though i've no idea of what the DVD's sell but that might be enough to justify putting out something new.

That being said, anytime i'm in a bad mood i can watch that episode on DVD where "Jack learns to jump good" and it fixes me. If this turned out to be true it would be worth having to put up with your nakedness for new Jack.

Heard about this before.

'Hope it pushes through, but I'm not holding my breath.
