This past week, the online comic store run by Slively and Venuscameback had an order stolen, and while Diamond has agreed to replace the stock, the business has taken a major financial hit
If you've done business with LiveWire World before, you know how pleasant the experience is. If you haven't, you're missing out.
I was hoping that everyone who has been looking at placing an order, especially for trades and hardcovers, could take a look at the site and consider helping them out.

Thanks to Brian for allowing me to post this, and thanks for your attention...

While I can get comics on the Thursday after relases (normal day of release in UK). The amount of money I save currently through LWW and due to the exchange rate is worth it alone, if I were buying more books it would work out even better.

Yea I've been meaning to order a few more trades...now seems like a good time to just do it.

Luckily for you, I've just recently decided to go on another comic buying binge. I'll throw some business their way.

This is terrible news. LWW is one of the best Comic Shops online that I have had the pleasure to deal with. I've been meaning to do more orders, but haven't been able to get in touch with Slively for sometime. I don't get paid til the 1st, but I'll certainly throw somemore business their way when I pay for my order that's on hold.

I'll do what I can, as little as it may be.
I don't use LWW but the things I hear are just spectacular. I hope everything works out.

LWW is practically a mom & pop shop. Sandra runs it out of her home with the help of a few friends.
Please take the time to order something. Now's the time to buy those items on your wish list that you've put off for so long.
If you don't see something you want on her site, contact her. She might be able to get it for you. That's kind of how LWW works.
Props to Xakko for starting this thread! :)

Yea I've been meaning to get Ultimates 2nd TPB of Vol 1 and Ultimates 2 1st TPB. Think I'll order that.
Silvely and the others have always been great with shipping the few products I have ordered from them. Everything is always packaged well and sent in a timely manner. Good place.

That really sucks. I can't believe some of the things people will steal, things they won't really benefit from themselves but significantly hurt the victims.
I have been looking for an excuse to set up an account with LWW. Looks like this is going to be it.

I know. I still say GLA is better than watchmen. I decided to just to save a bit of money for quicker shipping. I need to see that Booster Gold meets car door panel quicker than normal shipping would allow

Seconded wholeheartedly.
Livewireworld is run by one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of chatting to online and if people could find it in their hearts to spend some money at LWW it'd make my day.

Thank you, Xakko, for thinking of this, and to everyone for their supportive and encouraging comments (and orders!!!)
I'd like to clarify that while Diamond can replace the stolen stock, all that means is that we can re-buy it all & they'll ship it out to us ASAP. So they're not really replacing items, they're selling more of them to us - as you'd expect, given they're a business.
The theft put Sandra and I on quite the downer so to discover this thread was an amazing surprise and quite overwhelming. Thank you, all of you, this means more to us than I can find the words for

As Beast correctly noted, the store is based in Texas, America; I primarily handle other aspects of the business from Nottingham; and that leaves us handily placed for supplying cool comics merchandise that isn't being sold in America, such as Marvel Bearz and, until recently, the Marvel Figurines line. Unless you order a special item like those, goods ship from Texas

Kids, if you haven't given http://www.livewireworld.com a shot yet, now's the time. Isn't there something you've been considering buying but just haven't yet taken the time?
Again: If you don't see what you want on their site, click the "Contact Us" link and ask for it. :)

For what it's worth, *I'm* definitely coming back for more.
When you're a new customer, you never know what to expect, but my package came today as promised. I love it. At first, I thought because my Special Order had to be shipped from Britain, that it might make things complicated. It couldn't have been easier thanks to you guys. (And it came super fast)
I've had nothing but professional, effcient, courteous service from Livewire World. Great experience.

Thanks for the feedback! Most orders ship from Texas, but there are some special order items that aren't sold in America, such as the Marvel Bearz (http://livewireworld.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1225)you ordered and, when the line started, the monthly collection of Marvel Figurines (which have subsequently been made available to American stores), so these can be ordered and shipped from the UK. Please note that we do not carry a great deal of stock of special order items such as these, so they aren't listed in the shop. Anyone interested should e-mail or PM me for more information.
I'm glad you were happy with your purchase, Amokitty, thanks for trusting us with your order :)

Excellent... Reminds me of an old episode of Red Dwarf where one of Rimmer's school mates invents pressure paper by painting bubble wrap red and becomes a multi-millionaire!
So not only do I have the joy of Cable & Deadpool trades to look forward to but, lots of bubble wrap!

Since you have the first issues of X-Factor, you might as well pick up Maddrox 1-6, which is the mini-series that preceded the series. My personal favorite comics of all time are collected in Peter David Visionaries: X-Factor I & II, which was PAD's original run on the book.
inhumans digest because im curious
I realize that it costs more money than the digest, but Paul Jenkin's and Jae Lee's Inhumans TPB was absolutey incredible and I highly recommend it.
