To be honest I find a concept of owning such a coat or even worse pay'n for it 5000$ a bit wierd or even riddiculus.

I'm not on for cliched sayings, but, "Oh my God." If I had $5,000 Lerochelle, I would so buy that for myself. In my dream world, I'm lounging in a comfy sofa in Dracula's castle wearing Hellboy's jacket. Its a most wonderful dream world.

I remember after the movie came out one of the studios had an ebay auction and sold alot of the props and clothes and i think two of the jackets went for $1000 a piece one with the glass from the subway scene and just the jacket itself

How comfortable are the jackets you think?

I'm sure it's fine when you're not wearing a silicon/latex rubber Hellboy costume. :)

I say we pool our money. I get to wear it every third Thursday.

Prolly be more comfy if there wasnt any glass in the pockets...

I would be trying for a loan if it didn't have the holes in it though... lol I don't need to be drafty as well as dorky lol.

Besides, do you really think that an ankle length trench on Ron, would ft a 5'6" me? I think Id' rather swim with abe than in HB's jacket...

Besides.... HEAVY!!!!
What were they, like 50 pounds each?

Please note: the seller has a zero rating. In your fantasy of scraping together five grand, it might end with disappointment when a knock-off appears. I'm glad there are zero bids to compliment his rating.

It's funny, too, because the buyer specifically says, "Please no zero feedback bidders."

I think the seller is someone from the board, actually. Haven't seen her around here in a while and can't remember her name, but she won all that stuff when the studio was originally auctioning it off shortly after the movie came out. She posted a lot of pictures of a fully assembled Hellboy mannequin with all the costume elements. I think this is her set because she won the coat that had the glass in it; there was also at least one without glass that was auctioned at the time and went to someone else. If you're still lurking here, please come forward!

I know exactly who you're talking about, and I was thinking this was her too, she has quite a movie memorabilia collection as I recall.

However, she bought those items off of ebay... what happened to the account she used then?

EDIT: This is who I was thinking of (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/member.php?u=50)

All her posts about the costume were lost in the Great Crash of '04.

Yeah, that's her. Thanks, Maija. It's really too bad what we lost in that crash. There was a lot of lively discussion around here at the time of the movie.

That's a very good point Aaron. It says it comes with some sort of certification, but those are pretty easy to fake.
