Thought I'd copy my Image compadres and start a thread here about STRONGARM, my book coming out in less than 6 weeks. I'm writing it, Udon Studios alum Dave Ahn is drawing it, and we're having a blast.

Manga style and good western dialogue is a perfect fit. Manga's are great but sometimes they repeat the damn same thing in everychapter in dialogue but the action is definetly the best while western comics are great with storylines and such but the action fight scenes suck compare to manga's and are usually short too. Mixing these two with good western dialogue and manga action, I'll check the book out.

What's the basics of the storyline? Takes place in a apocalyptic kind of world?

Two brothers take different paths in life - one is a loser delivery boy, and one is the leader of the resistance. The setting is a utopian city with many glass and metal skyscrapers.

The book dives right in when the loser brother, Rob, is attacked while one one of his deliveries! The assassin has metal arms and is about to kill Rob, when he gets a lucky strike in with his baseball bat! The assassin is dead but Rob is attacked by the arms, which graft themselves to him.

The story goes from there. :)

That's a pretty fair review. It's paced like a manga digest, as it's really tough to plot manga any tighter than that. It demands large panels and drawn-out scenes! I didn't deliberately write for the trade - the first issue does pack a lot into it - but it will take a couple of issues for you to figure out what's going on. And that's OK - I promise it will all be revealed by the end!
