Random Thoughts:

THE BATMAN CHRONICLES VOL. 3 TP

I'm glad that DC is continuing this program, albeit slowly. I'm still unlikely to buy this volume as I already own copies of all the stories in it except Batman #5. But a vol. 4 would be a definite buy.

THE ORIGINAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COMIC BOOK HEROES VOLUME 1: BATMAN TP

This is an interesting reprint item. I remember this from the 70s. I never owned a copy, but would pick this up if I found it cheap.

GOLDEN AGE DR. FATE ARCHIVES VOL. 1 HC

Expensive, but man...every GA solo appearance of Dr. Fate. One of these days.

SHOWCASE PRESENTS: THE WAR THAT TIME FORGOT VOL. 1 TP

This is clearly the must-buy of the month. I really love that DC is bringing out Showcase volumes of semi-obscure features like this.

SHOWCASE PRESENTS: THE FLASH VOL. 1 TP

This may be the first Showcase that I take a definite pass on. I have the first two Flash Archives, so I doubt there will be much here that I don't already have.

I love how DC often pairs one mainstream collection with a slightly more 'off the wall' choice.

I'll be getting both of these although I've probably got half of each in back issues.

DC continues to pretty much read my mind where Showcase Presents is concerned, I see.

Which I suppose means I merely need to intensify my previously expressed yearning for volumes devoted to the Metal Men, Tomahawk, the Doom Patrol, various war titles ...

Only just noticed this. I picked the original up for probably a couple of bucks from one of those itinerant overstock- & remainder-selling outfits temporarily doing business in some normally vacant Phoenix storefront in, probably, the fall of '81. I guess it would've been, after Origins of Marvel Comics & Son of Origins, the 3rd comics TPB I ever owned.

Flash is long overdue and certainly makes my list. And sorry, but personally I never cared at all for the War that Time Forgot.
