it seems that when it comes up in a comic shop or on ebay people are willing to spend quite a bit of money to get hold of this comic compared to all other bprd stuff, why is this ?

I don't know why they list them for so much.
The story is in one of the BPRD trades.
If you keep you eye on ebay, a decently priced one will pop up. That's what I did.

Probably ordered and produced in low numbers. Hellboy wasn't the phenomenon it is now when Drums was published.

It includes the Abe Sapien story of the same name, the Hellboy story "Heads" and the attached pic of Abe swimming in the buff with the fishies. Both of the stories are collected though in BPRD and Hellboy.
It's probably just the low print run and a harder to find item. If you're really looking for one send me a PM and we can discuss. I can't believe they are posted for $49.95 though; that's a bit crazy.

thanks for the offer petriacce, but i own a copy, was just curious as it doesnt seem to pop up cheep anywhere like most of the other hb/bprd stuff
