Or is he strictly a cover artist?

I didn't know where to post this on the comic topic lists so I thought I'd go to the open forum. :D

He doesn't do much sequential work anymore, but he's really good at it. Try to dig up a copy of his 2-issue Gen13 miniseries, Ordinary Heroes.

(Which he also did a bang-up job of writing, incidentally.)

He and Chris Claremont did a Star Trek GN once upon a time. That was cool. Star Trek: Debt of Honor

W00t!!!

I'm definitely hunting those! I can find Ordinary Heroes anywhere, but that Star Trek GN might take a bit of searching...I remember seeing that in the back of my Life Eaters GN.

IIRC he'll be doing the interior art of All-Star Wonder Woman.

For the record, howy means Justice Leage America, the Giffen/DeMatties series. And it was great, however, I met Adam at a in-store signing once and kind of lost respect for the dude, no matter how good his art is. I asked how long it took him to draw an issue of Justice League America he said his editors liked it in a month, but it sometimes took him longer and that he was "working almost 8 hours a day."

That just left a bitter taste in my mouth. The dude could work at home and he's complaining about "long" hours?

Hughes did the art for the Power Girl origin segment in this week's 52. Didn't he also do a Wonder Woman one awhile back?

I wish Hughes did more interior art. He's an excellent artist.

What issues? I may have them.

With truly great titles.

What issues? I may have them.Couldn't tell you offhand, but it was in the late 1980s, I think. Bart Sears was doing the other Justice League book around the same time.

When he has some issues in the can, so we don't get a repeat of the current WW series.

Hughes drew some issues of the Giffen-era league. I particularly recall he did the story when Despero returned and went after the former leaguers, including Gypsy. The art in those issues was outstanding.

Hughes was also the artist on one of the regular strips in PENTHOUSE COMICS.

Didn't he get his start on MAZE Agency or some other detective comic?

Here we go. #31-35, 37-40, 43-44, 51.

That means he drew the first appearance of Power Girl's cat.

Uh-oh.
