Ive recently started a new website like myspace for comic book creators and i would like to submit an article about the site to fill everyone in.

Its a cold bitter climb to the top when your a comic book artist ,colorist, inker, writer and so on but today myfriends you can breathe a sigh of relief.
Kingston Mill of Okemos Michigan (A long time comic book fan)has created a website that connects comic book lovers, creators and editors together in a myspace type enviornment enabling users to collaborate with friends creators editors and so on.
The website is CREATORCON.COM. Concider it to be a 24x7 comic book convention on the internet.
I asked Kingston what his goals were for his newly developed site.

Q-When was creatorcon.com created?
A-I created it in about a week.

Q-It only took you a week to create a site so program driven?
A-Yes i used a very nice content management system called joomla and integrated many new modules and components to get the results i was looking for and bought a few custom plugins.

Q-who did the art for the pages?
A-I did all of the grapghics design.

Q-how many members do you have so far?
A-Well the site went up today jan.13 07 and i have 4 members i believe it will grow at an astonishing rate judging by the sucess of similar sites.

Q-how much does it cost to join?
A-Its completely 100% free.

Q-What makes creatorcon special and stand out.
A-I believe that giving the users the ability to write and maintain there own blogs and submit news articles pertaining to comic books is one of the main functions, along with those functions we have all of the connection atributes of myspace such as adding friends (connections) Maintaing your own personal profiles.Uploading images into your own publicly viewed image gallery thru your profile, msg.forums and much more.

Fans can check out the site right now at http://www.creatorcon.com.
Creators profile:http://creatorcon.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user=63
Members list example:http://creatorcon.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=usersList&Itemid=27

Its quite abit like comicspace but the difference is as a user you can post your own blogs, submit weblinks, view connections, view frorum post, create your own gallery etc.
comic space an example of poor webdesign skills and great programming, very little user interation exept maintaining your profile and connections,
No forums,user blogs,user submitted articles,news,etc.
We have it all.
A more complete community solution.
Thanks for the reply

I disagree. I think that comicspace has a very clean design.

There is such a thing as too many features.
