Well, it took an extra day, but I got what I really wanted: my kid's over the flu.

She got sick the day before; I had to pick her up from school. I stayed up with her almost all night early Friday morning. The poor thing was hungry, but nothing tasted good and eventually she, ah, returned everything she had sampled anyway...

Friday, my wife came home from work (icy weather here) and took over as my kid recovered. Today, no fever and my kid's eating again. I went to bed after dinner my wife cooked and didn't wake up until noon today...
