I know some of the previous ones we've posted have been less than stellar, but this one's good. Honest! By Cthonicspirit.

More a take on the extremely large amount of innuendo revolving around Dinah and Babs.

Damnit! Why are all the best ladies taken, gay and fictional!

Snugglin' alone does not make one gay, as far as I know.

I guess not, but it can be debatable.

Anyway, here's another one-shot by me, something that's been bothering me for a long while;

That last one poses a good question since... ah... Terry is a clone of Bruce Wayne in the year 2039. And Kate is a 21st century revamp of a character from the 1950s.

There's also the fact on whether or not you want to consider the 'ripoff' being within the fourth wall or outside of it. Meaning that Terry came first with the Red & Black costume from our prespective, but from the DCU's prespective, Terry doesn't exist yet, if ever at all.

Though the Batwoman from the direct-to-DVD film is basically a grey version of Terry with a cape isn't she?

Yay for Babs and Dinah!

In essense, yes.

And Batman Beyond DID briefly appear in Jeph Loeb's last Superman/Batman arc, during all the dimension-hopping wackiness.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if DC wanted to line up Kate Kane as an influence for a "future Batman" costume. And I wouldn't mind, either.

Bah. As hot as it would be, I can't stand the out of characterness of Babs/Dinah slash.

I don't find it out of character at all. When you think about it, Babs and Dinah shared a better relationship then either of them had with any of the men in their lives. That simple fact is, I'm convinced, at the heart of 9/10's of Babs/Dinah slash.

DC, of course, tries to discourage it. I think that is exactly the wrong tact to take, but who listens to me?

I just realized that this might have confused some people - The girl in the pink dress and batgirl mask is Sin. Cass gave her her own miniature cowl as a present the last time the met in the Casstoons.

Dinah ain't gay, thank goodness, and neither is Babs. The new Batwoman is though.

Both of those were pretty damned good, I thought.

And I really like Winick (the stoning will begin at 8pm, I presume). And I don't see Dinah/Babs slash as AT ALL believable. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a good cartoon.

I thought these were pretty funny. Especially the Batwoman/Batman Beyond one: there's just something about it.

Really? I remember picking up random issues of Birds of Prey way back when, before I read them regularly, and thinking, "Boy! That's a lot of HoYay for two straight girls." Even my not-a-comic-fan housemate at the time though so and he doesn't even look at the world through lavender coloured glasses the way I do.

You would never say that if you had seen even 7 minutes of that show I will not name that airs on Showtime.

A show that must not be named?

I'm morbidly curious!

It's not that it must not be named. It's just that I don't want to name it, it's so nauseating to me.

The show I will not name (http://www.thelwordonline.com/main.html)

I see.

What is it about this unnameable show that makes it so unnameable?

I just never saw it. I'm not saying that there weren't amusing undercurrents there, because I think there were. But really ... Dinah and Babs? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I suppose that, with the multitude of problems they have had with relationships of the male variety, they might get fed up. But I just don't see that there was any evidence of anything beyond a very close friendship and great respect between them.

But like I said, I thought the cartoon was very funny.

For a slight change of pace, here's a strip of The Adventures of Booster and Cass.

It's somewhat in the same vein as Casstoons, but it's produced much, much less. This is only the 5th one, but they are as funny as they are cute.
