Book opens with a scene previously from a Wolverine book with exact same dialog where Wolverine escapes from the helicarrier. Next it shows Blade fighting Morbius which is revealed as a setup and Morbius was registered working for the govt. Maria tells Blade she will pardon him if he hunts down Wolverine. I thought this was weird cus as much of a Blade fan I am no way in hell can he take on Wolverine. Anyway the two meet fight a little bit and Blade recalls Wolverine saving him in the past and refuses to bring him in. I thought it was an interesting twist with Morbius and I still enjoy the flash back stories on here. I dont think it was as good as the previous issue, but it is readable.

Good thing I did'nt pick up this book. I skimmed through it and the action was lacking and Blade definetly can't take on wolverine.

About the only thing it had to do with CW, is that apparently, Maria Hill has now hired Blade as the official registered vampire killer, along side Morbius, the official registered Vampire.

Here were 2 heros, (Blade and Wolverine), at each others throats, and Wolverine doesn't even stick Blade with the claws, just scratches his leather jacket? They just tried to fit this issue in, after Hill let Wolvy escape, by crashing out of the Helicarrier, and wanted Blade to bring him in.

I believe Blade registered as well. When he returned to Hill's office he said he doesn't mind taking orders from her as long as he continues doing what he does.

Well, the stunt worked, as they got me to read it. :)

It was definitely stupid, but at least it was fun-stupid.

What's Blade's deal in this series, anyway? Movie-Blade's powers, comic-Blade's personality? I was confused when he said he wasn't superhuman.

yeah I am glad I didn't pick this issue up. Guggs has depowered blade from the movie which is an automatic drop from my pull list. Movie Blade vs wolverine about a Tie both are exceptional fighters and have healing factors

I liked this issue (finally got around to reading it last night) and thought it was Chaykin's best yet on art (and I'm a huge fan!).

Once again I love the flashbacks and enjoyed the minor tie-in to Civil War.

Fun stuff!

Yes... it's always better to judge an issue without reading it!

I liked it. The flashback of Wolvie back in the day was great. Questions tho

1: The flashback scene seemed to take place like in the 1930's? Is that correct. DI ddnt know blade was that old, even if he is half vamp

2. Why did Wolvie look scared of having the vamp serum stuck in him? Dont you think his body would have rejected it? I mean his body fought the brood off back in X-men #234.

3. WHen the hell did Blade take down a whole SHIELD Hellicarier?

Yeah, Blade was born in 1929, if his Tomb of Dracula origin still holds up.

He didn't look scared to me, actually. He had a pretty cocky grin when he told Blade to go ahead and try it.

3. WHen the hell did Blade take down a whole SHIELD Hellicarier?

I think this was a reference to an earlier Blade series (not the last one, but the one before that) by Bart Sears. Utterly incomprehensible garbage, but I remember Blade was aboard the hellicarrier.

Wait, Blade is back to having no super powers? (I don't count "doesn't turn into a vampire when bitten" as a power) So how was he slugging it out with Morbius?

I enjoyed this issue. It was probably my favorite one of the current series so far.I still wish they'd have a better artist on it though. Its still not appealing to me.

It was a fun issue, but I had a few problems with it, which I won't detail here.

Let me just say that this issue was just okay and somewhat disappointing for me.

Well, the story wasn't that bad, but the art...gah, the art was some of the worst I've ever seen.

1. To those who are mad that Logan didnt completely rip Blade in half remember that he had just finished fighting Omega Red. The man was tired.

2. Blade is badass, as someone said earlier Dracula is no chump.

My only complaint on the story is why Logan didnt recognize Blade by scent?

Though I do think Logan should be a notch above Blade on paper, the fact is Dracula has man-handled the ENTIRE X-Men team before (not to mention hold his own against Thor and Surfer, though I always thought that was a bit ridiculous). So Blade being able to hold his own against Drac. certainly deserves respect.
