Been away for awhile....Help

Ive been away from comics for awhile. About a year to a year and a half to be exact. Now that Im back....I know Ive missed alot. My question to you all is.....What issues or TPB's can I pick up to get somewhat back to speed??? I was reading Punisher, Daredevil, Batman, Outsiders, Ult. Iron Man, Detective Comics mainly when I took a break. Gimme some ideas. Thanks.

Take a look at www.tplist.com to see which trades are available and what issues are included in each. You can look by character/franchise.

I think the most important runs will be the Brubaker arcs in Daredevil...that I feel certain will be collected in trades eventually. "The Devil in Cell Block D" and "The Devil Takes a Ride" have been his two story arcs. If you didn't finish up Bendis' arc that placed Murdock into Rikers Prison, you'll want that, but I don't know if it's in trade yet. It should be soon though...

I'd strongly recommend that you go for the three Captain America trades, "Man Out of Time", "The Winter Soldier" and whatever the next third arc was, something like "The Red Kill Zone" with Crossbones and Sin vs. AIM in a small midwestern town.

I don't think you're very far behind on the Ultimate Iron Man as the book fell far behind schedule, IIRC...

Superman Sacrifice
Villans United
Teen Titans and the Outciders
Infinite Crisis
52 ( sadly they sad this will not be collected in TPB's)

you can jump on the punisher series at any time cos their done in 1 arcs, but get the kitchen irish and slavers tpb's cos their awesome. Pick up the devil in cell block d tpb its the newest one out and that should get you up to date with daredevil. dont bother with ult iron man it was a mini and was pretty dull. there gonna be a big shake up with marvel after civil war so you can get in on the ground floor with most titles then.
