What's this?! Seems an important detail of this message has been overlooked.
Tad, London, HB2...sounds like another dream becoming real. What is this all about, Tad?

That sentence refers to Mike going to London.

Thanks for the clarification, Bandit. I completely read that wrong.

I guess I'll have to buy it again if I go to this since I think Dark Delicacies makes you buy the copy you want signed from them. Usually overpriced. (One more chance to win some original art, I guess!)

If anyone is interested, Dark Delicacies has a mail order system that allows you to get an autographed DVD copy from the signing. Just go to their website.

Hmmm... another cute animal hat or a signed copy of the DVD... oh priorities!

Where is this order form-thing exactly? I've looked almost all over the place and I can't find it. D=;;

ETA: I found something (http://www.darkdel.com/c51.htm), but Hellboy ain't there. =/

Well in any case, tell Dougie I said 'Hi' (again) please! =]

Just to counter hellboyone's remark about overcharging. We do not charge more than the SRP for any signed item at Dark Delicacies. I'm sorry if regular price is overcharging to him as he usually buys discounted at a big box store. However we don't get the discounts they get. Counterwise they don't get the signings. Pay less and wait for the signing at Best Buy if it makes you happier.

That wasn't a knock, by the way. I buy at the lowest price possible because I'm no millionaire. I realize that buying elsewhere to get it signed at your store defeats the purpose of getting customers to buy the DVD at your store.

As an aside, I've spent lots and lots of money at Dark Delicacies and I recommend the store to friends all the time. Also, I dropped by there today to say hi to my friends and somebody who works there treated me like a shoplifter. I took no offense. I know the place was packed.

Ouch! That's a bit harsh, I think.

The signing went very well today. Dark Delicacies was a wonderful host and they sold out of DVDs. Nearly a hundred! And they could have sold more. The double draw of Mike and Doug really brought them in. Chris Drake brought a CD of the movie score so we signed to his music.

It was a great signing for Mike in that the pace was slow enough that he could chat with everyone. He did plenty of sketches. Gdeo got a Johann and someone else requested and received a Liz drawing. Some even had me draw a young Hellboy. Brisco was there too and Rick stopped by to say "hi."

Of course, Mike couldn't leave without purchasing a stack of books and some Halloween decorations. He set up a BALTIMORE signing so he can return and shop more.

Bob Burns (http://bobburns.mycottage.com/) brought a Mac Tonite (http://www.konkle.com/television/mcd04.html) head, the one Doug wore 20 years ago on his first job.

Yes, I have pictures but they're dark. I'll resize them tomorrow to post. Meanwhile, nag Gdeo to post his.

A fun day. I thanked everyone for purchasing them. I really appreciated the support.

Nice.

Glad it went well. And REALLY glad of the good turn out...oh, to have been there to see everyone and congratulate them all on a job well done. And thanks to Dark Delicacies for hosting the event. Too bad they ran out. I hope no one got too bummed out. I am sure at least a sketch or two brightened their day! Thanks guys for making the launch special!

Gdeo...nag, nag, nag.

Glad things went well over all. Honestly I hope the DVD sells millions upon millions of units! The true labor of love aspect is written all over the movie and the extras (which I was finally able to sit down and watch the other day). Looking forward to Blood and Iron next month!

Lets see...Tad did all the preproduction in California, then sent it to Korea to be animated. Then Korea sent it back to Tad in California a couple of times to check, then back to Korea to make the DVD. Then it was sent to Dark Delicacies for Tad to sign. Then put back in the mail, and sent to me in Korea.
It looks great, and I can't wait to dive into it this weekend. Thanks for all the hard work.
