I say yes, it'd be nice to see another super-person in the movies that's on the good side. Of course if she were to be introduced that shouldn't be what the movie is based on. It could be similar to how he found her in Superman: TAS.

I say no, only because it would just serve to steal Supes' thunder. Perhaps in another sequel, but for now no.

I would like to see her debut in a Superman movie or Superman (played by Routh) have a presence in her movie.

But not yet.

The most I can see is, perhaps, her rocket crashing at the end.

No, I think the movie franchise should concentrate on just Superman, at least for now.

Lol, I don't think she'd steal Supes' thunder. Unless she were to save the day instead of Superman.

I would introduce here, mixing her original origin, with Kandor and Brainiac. She'd gain her powers to some extent in that film; but wouldn't be nearly Superman levels for quite some time. Maybe 2 films later. In the meantime, she could be Clark's cousin, come to Metropolis to go to college, and the occasional babysitter for Jason.

That could work except for her powers reaching Superman's in two movies. It doesn't take long for any Kryptonian to reach full power.

No. And they should dump the kid, too.

I'm hoping Superman Jr will fall before the power of the Retcon Wand...

Or at the very least, get a child actor who doesn't look like he's wolfing down Percocets by the fistfull between takes.

no,

next film they should be concentrating on a monster villian,

otherwise marvel will leave dc in the dust.
ie. spiderman 3 and fantastic four 2 coming out.

im mainly a dc man, but come on, up the ante on the movies guys!

Agreed and agreed. :)

I say no and I'm a big fan of Kara as my avatar and name suggest. I even have my own Supergirl outfit which I dress up in from time to time. But These are Superman Movies. The comics introduced the character after years and years of Superman having time to develop etc and the comics were boosted by her inclusion. The movies made about Superman will only be a few over time, unlike the masses and masses of Superman stories wracking up in the comics every month.
If it was a TV series then, I'd say why not, by season 3 or 4 Supergirl would be welcome but not in the movies. There is no room for her. Just let her have her own movie, with its own continuity and make a good one instead of the crap we once got.

No, they shouldn't get rid of Jason. It'd be stupid to give Superman a son & then kill him off. Plus, Tristan Lake Leabu has been signed on for three films so he won't be getting killed off anyway.

I think that they shouldn't get rid of Jason White, bcuz he could possibly develop into a character similar to Kon-El.

He shouldn't be similar to Kon-El either because he's not a clone of Superman. He needs to have his own personality, not another character's.

No, keeping the series with a simple universe is probably strongest. It's enough to have two super characters in the film. A third might start bogging it down.

I think that Singer could pull it off but if she were to be in the movies she shouldn't steal the show.

Only if the plot calls for it. When there's no reason for a character to be there then you get something akin to Batman & Robin (introducing Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane, and Batgirl!).

She could help Superman with the onslaught of villains but she shouldn't steal all his glory.

Whenever people start rambling about adding this, that and those characters to the mix, I remember of Batman Returns.

A truckload of characters running around and not enough airtime to explore eacjh story in-depth.

Sure, do a Superman-Rise of the Supergirl 3 or 4 movies from now, when the franchise is solidified.
Not now, when people are still arguing whether SR was a flop.

I still think it could work. The only thing they'd have to try not to do is add too many villains.

I look at as admitting it was a bad idea to introduce the kid.

I strongly doubt they signed a child actor to three movies. Kids have a way of growing up when their characters don't.

NO NO NO , he would never make it as Conner. Plus I'm still not sold on the kid being his yet, just feel something is amiss. Could be a huge red herring! We don't need Supergirl, we need Lex to create Bizzaro!

No. Adding another Super character would hurt the budget. I want Superman to be fully realized first (fight wise and power wise). No more wonky moments of CG flight ala Returns. If all Superman is going to do is hunt down thugs and stop Lex Luthor's real estate schemes, there's no reason for two characters with his power level on one planet. I want to see him deal with someone worthy of his powers. When they get that stuff down, then maybe they can worry about adding other heroic characters to the mix. They can usher in the entire age of Superheroes.

I really think it could work in a third or fourth movie or in a spinoff which Routh guest stars in. (Cameo seems too small. Co-star seems too big.)

Preus

Or, they could just have her have her own movie in which Routh is also in it & he teaches her about her powers & what not.

I guess it was just a huge wave that hit the boat that caused the piano to hit Lex's thug perfectly head on then right?

Hell no. A Superman movie is about Superman, not about Superman and Supergirl. And the character is extremely annoying, not to mention useless (IMO, and I know many of you think having her around is something positive).

I'd be more interested in krypto coming to Earth than Supergirl right now. At least the kid will have somebody to play with, and they could do a short, where the kid and the dog learn about their powers together. (wow my sarcasm turned into a part of a treatment, I should do that more often)
