Hey everyone i'm a pretty big fan of barbara as batgirl. I was wondering if anyone could let me know of any good stories I could pick up involving her? So far all I have read is the "Batgirl: Year One" book. Thanks!!

Check the Batman: Batgirl oneshot by Kelley Puckett (and Matt Haley, IIRC), chronicling Barbara's first encounter with the Joker.
Also, it's in animated continuity, but The Batgirl Adventures special by Paul Dini and Rick Burchett is a great funny read.

And while she no longer wears the cape and cowl, Barbara Gordon is exellent in the Birds Of Prey series as Oracle.

That's Killing Joke but I wouldn't get that to read a Batgirl story. To read one of the best comics ever yes but not for Batgirl.
I had a Batgirl annual that had her last story as Batgirl in. That was quite good. You could dig that out at a comic convention.

Cool thanks..and I have read "The Killing Joke". A great story for sure but not to much of a straight batgirl thing. I have also read a few issues of birds of prey which is cool. I just like her more actually out fighting and what not.

You might want to look for older Batman comics then. Batgirl was a backup feature in Detective Comics in the early '70s and again in the early '80s, circa #500-520.
Unfortunately these latter stories aren't all that great-- they were by the competent but boring team of Cary Burkett and Jose Delbo. I don't know if there are any Batgirl solo stories that are considered classics.
