What the heck should I get?
I've got a $10 off coupon if I order $50 or more, plus 10% off with irewards. I was considering the New X-Men Omnibus, but it won't arrive for 3-5 weeks.
Some of you know my reading habits quite well, so toss out some recommendations for me. Black Hole? Fun Home? Something more "mainstream"?
LET ME HAVE IT!

I don't know your reading habits, to be honest.
I ordered the "New X-Men Omnibus" from Amazon, and eventhough they were claiming it would arrive at the end of January, it arrived a few days ago.
Now, I have my problems with it: it's frickin' huge! I can't read it sitting in a chair, for example, or my leg falls immediately asleep. I think it weighs something like 7.5 lbs.
OTOH, it's just beautiful. And I can't wait to really dig into it.
Personally, i would suggest anything by Morrison, especially his "Animal Man" run. That might just be the best run by anyone in the history of comics. But that's just me.

Cool. Yeah, I have the three Morrison Animal Man trades, as well as a ton of other works by him. Hmm, I should look into the last volume of Seven Soldiers...

It's not coming out for a while, unfortunately. A couple of weeks, at least.
See, most of my stuff is so "vanilla", that it is hard to think of anything. I am assuming you have most of the collected Alan Moore stuff? And Morrison's Invisibles and Doom Patrol?
I am SO vanilla DC, normally. I'll just leave this thread. :)

Haha, I like vanilla DC sometimes. Not Geoff Johns though, I have his entire Flash run for some reason, and it never really kicked into high gear for me.
I didn't like Doom Patrol, and the Invisibles didn't do much for me either. Ended up giving away the trades I had of them.
Go ahead though, toss out a ton of suggestions, just list a bunch of random crap. :)

Ok. :)
Mike Grell's "The Longbow Hunters", a great Green Arrow, Black Canary story.
Any of Brubaker's "Catowman" trades.
Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's "Catowoman: When in Rome" story which just rocks. This also goes for all of the Loeb/Sale "Batman" stories, like "The Long Halloween", "Dark Victory", etc.
Kevin Smith's "Green Arrow: Quiver" trade. A fantastic story.
Greg Rucka's "Wonder Woman" books, including the "The Hiketeia".
For that matter, George Perez' "Wonder Woman" stories.
Alan Moore's "Lost Girls".
Alan Moore's "From Hell".
Going against what you said, Geoff Johns' "Green Lantern" trades. Seriously, amazing.
I would suggest "Supergirl" (the modern Kara Zor-El) but everyone gives me grief, so I won't.
ANYTHING Manhunter is just fantastic. If you are missing out on these trades, you are really missing out. Andreyko is a great writer, and Kate is an excellent character.
And I assume you have read DC: The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke?

Read it, not sure if I want to own it. I have troubles with the Canary rape scene, and don't remember much else noteworthy about the story besides that scene.

Ooh, good idea. I have the first two, and I borrowed the entire run from a friend of mine a year or two ago, and quite enjoyed it until Gulacy took over the art.
Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's "Catowoman: When in Rome" story which just rocks. This also goes for all of the Loeb/Sale "Batman" stories, like "The Long Halloween", "Dark Victory", etc.
I have LH and DV, and enjoyed them when I first got them, but find myself tiring of Loeb's style. The aforementioned friend of mine got CWIR and liked it, but I'm not sure if I feel like getting more Catwoman...
Kevin Smith's "Green Arrow: Quiver" trade. A fantastic story.
Got 'em in singles, fun stuff.
Greg Rucka's "Wonder Woman" books, including the "The Hiketeia".
Read 'em, didn't like 'em very much.
For that matter, George Perez' "Wonder Woman" stories.
Read some of these as well, but not sure if I'd like them enough to buy them.
Alan Moore's "Lost Girls".
Alan Moore's "From Hell".
Holy crap, I forgot about LG, as I had been waiting to see if Canada was legally allowed to get it. I think I'll probably end up getting that one. :)

I loved the fanwank of Rebirth (seriously, I recognize it for what it is, but it struck the chord it was meant to with me), but the regular series bored me whenever a new issue would come out. I just dropped it a couple of months ago.
I would suggest "Supergirl" (the modern Kara Zor-El) but everyone gives me grief, so I won't.
Haha, thanks.
ANYTHING Manhunter is just fantastic. If you are missing out on these trades, you are really missing out. Andreyko is a great writer, and Kate is an excellent character.
Hmm, I hear mixed things about this book. The people who love it really seem to love it, but everyone else... I gotta check the prices on these.
And I assume you have read DC: The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke?
Yep, I love it.
Thanks dude, and if anyone else wants to toss in some suggestions, I won't make an order until tomorrow anyways, given that it's a holiday...

Is that Pre-Crisis? Who worked on it?
